Cody Williams Talks About Getting Drafted By Utah Jazz

the Utah Jazz had a lot of options in this week’s NBA draft thanks to their large amount of draft capital and cap space yeah so it was really no surprise that they not only held on to all three of their picks in the draft but ended up getting Lottery grade players without even having to move up and give up some of their stock pile of future picks as well with the 10th pick in the 20124 NBA draft the Utah Jazz Select Cody Williams is yeah Cody Williams he was the first player added by the Jazz in the draft at number 10 played in 24 games for the Colorado Buffs starting in 18 of them he averaged 11.9 points per game shot 41.5% from the three-point line he’s the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder Wing Jaylen Williams Cody he can shoot and with that shot comes a high ceiling in the NBA more than happy to be a part of the Utah Jazz it’s a dream come true but I think just you know there’s a lot you know a little bit of nervousness a lot of adrenaline a little bit of anxiety going into so I think just hearing my name called all that went away and it was felt more relieved than anything um I think I fit in with the you know this group of guys just because of my versatility being a two-way player I feel like I bring in defense right off the bat uh being able to not only create for myself but create for others because you know the talent we have on this team I mean it’s the greatest feeling in the world really especially when you work your whole life to get to this point and you you know especially when you land with such an or great organization and you know a place where you know obviously me and my agents talked about that it would be a great situation for me great scenario and it’s somewhere I can really you know help out the Team One the things I was very impressed with is he’s much more mature for his what a normal 18 and a half year-old is he’s one of the youngest players in the draft and he’s got a spirit and some experience because he went through this with his brother and sees what it’s like and he loves basketball I’m really excited for him to be part of our program and we’re really happy to you know continue to help him grow

The Utah Jazz selected forward Cody Williams with the tenth overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Williams attended college for one season at Colorado before being selected by the Jazz.

Last year with the Buffaloes, Williams averaged 11.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on 55/41/71 shooting splits.

Colorado had a solid season, finishing third in the Pac-12 with a record of 26-11.

Williams and the Buffs claimed a 10-seed in the NCAA Tournament and beat No. 7 Florida in the first round.

  1. First of all, it is none of your business if he joined the church or not. So stop stirring the pot and stirring up trouble. There is nothing to grooming. That can happen.
