Charlotte Hornets Summer League roster breakdown – reaction and players to watch

the Charlotte Hornets have announced their roster for summer league I want to dive into this one a little bit with you cart it’s interesting Brandon Miller is the headliner but some guys from our world are involved as well Malik Hall from Michigan State’s on this team Xavier Simpson from Michigan is on this team uh we have a Simpson Simpson backourt as KJ Simpson is also there the rookie to Johnny Salon uh Drew PM from UNC Asheville one of the most fun college players for a couple years is here leaky black riley Davis’s boy from North Carolina is here James Banks rayquan battle Pedro Bradshaw Kevin cross Marcus Garrett uh Mo gay from uh Pittsburgh in Washington state I believe Caleb McConnell from Ruckers Bryce McGaw from Nebraska Matt Morgan Charles pride and Brandon Slater from Villanova those are all of the players on the Hornet summer league team what do you think of this roster uh well one Brandon Miller might play one half of basketball he’s gonna be the classic I want to go to V like he wants to go to Vegas but not fly on his own flight he wants to get a flight there he’ll play a half uh he’ll have 25 and then the rest of Summer League he’ll just be you know on the sideline hopefully being extra trying to get on the screen and stuff like that maybe coach a half grab a clipboard uh he’ll be that summer league player this year but definitely one to watch if you’re a big 10 fan I think you brought up some big 10 you know kind of teams players that are going to be on this team also this team like might be like sneaky fun they kind of like some bucket Getters like pem is a bucket getter rayquan battle was only a bucket getter um it’s kind of fun but I don’t know if they’re gonna be good there are 18 players on this team which begs the question how many players are you allowed to have on your summer league roster I honestly don’t know if the limit exists if there’s no limit can I please get a team sending 45 guys to Summer League like just sign them just sign them it would be awesome it’d be we could do like platoon systems 45 I just I want to see the limit of how many guys you can bring to Summer League uh but I also think the fact that they’re bringing 18 guys does signal that you’re correct about Brandon Miller and he’s probably not the only one like there there’s probably four guys on this list that I expect to like be there but not actually play a game Brandon Miller being one Bryce McGaw being another I guess everybody else on this list I’d be pretty surprised if they don’t like try to play but maybe they shut down Salon or even KJ Simpson if they’re like playing well for a couple games um also it does kind of feel like like if these guys do play this is a we want to win summer league team that’s what this feels like to me right like they went out and signed guys they think that will help them win summer league and they’re sending some of their biggest names I think with the purpose of winning summer league do you agree with me there I did kind of just close my eyes for a second and see like Nick Smith Jr and Bryce McGowan’s arm and arm like crying with the Su leg they they believe us at the last year man like we this is this is the start of something we’re changing [ __ ] around here man oh wait is Nick Smith there I didn’t even say yeah I cut off the graphic Nick Smith and Jake Stevens are also here they sent 20 guys to Summer League yes that’s insane um all right what’s uh if you’re the coach of this Hornet summer league team who’s your starters o I’m g go Xavier Simpson they said 20 guys to Summer League man Nick Smith Bryce McGowan’s Brandon [Music] Miller yeah they are kind of missing a legit center right that’s the one thing I mean Jake Stevens is definitely a legit Center but yeah um I mean if they were like starting real Hornets guys don’t they go like mwan Nick Smith Randon Miller one two three and then like Salon because you want to see what you got and a five like that’s that’s probably what they should do I don’t like The Hornet’s approach to this like why okay like with all due respect is there a reason we’re bringing Matt Morgan like the fifth year Pro who was born in 1997 like that’s just is that just taking up minutes for like a guy like Salon or something like that yeah I don’t know what’s up with that I also like why did Malik Hall sign with this team he might not play yeah it’s weird is tough um if I was the coach my lineup would be Xavier Simpson KJ Simpson you gotta go Simpson Simpson uh leaky black Brandon Miller drew p Ley black in the star huh I also wouldn’t play to Johnny Salon one minute if I was coaching this team but that’s for me
