If these are really the three teams left, the warriors seem like they’ve got the best package. The warriors’ post-curry picks are more valuable than anything the spurs and kings can offer, given how young their stars are.

Assuming ainge is forcing a bidding war to get one of Vassel, Murray or Kuminga added to the offers.

Sadly Ainge will probably “mull over these packages” for a while and then max Lauri out instead 🫠

  4. i’ll wonder if the warriors strike out with markkanen whether they’ll just stand pat or still go after another star like ingram or go back to lavine

The Kings are a done deal. Warriors were never in the discussion to begin with.

I’m guessing the OKC move for Hartenstein they’re not interested in Lauri? Because I feel they could’ve offered the best package with all the picks they have.

I checked the Jazz subreddit and also the twitter accounts of the Utah beat reporters…

Jazz are NOT actively trying to trade Lauri.

So it is going to take a tremendous Mikal Bridges-like offer to get them to consider it… not to
mention that Ainge’s starting point of the negotiations is: basically every available asset GSW has.

All of this to say, the reports appear to be one-sided and realistically… we’re not going to be able to get Lauri.

  8. The trade is also contingent on Lauri signing an extension at the end of the season with whichever team, which would most likely be with the Warriors or Spurs. I think as long as the offers are roughly equal, Lauri has a say in which team he would go to by threatening to leave in FA.

Warriors likely are the most likely to win a championship in the next few years of his prime, but the Spurs have the best player long term in Wemby. Less tax in TX also means more money in his pocket. The Spurs have the most draft capital so we would have to put up an offer they deem to be too much.

  9. Spurs on a similar rebuilding trajectory as the Jazz why tf would they want Markkanen man

  10. They’ll move him. He doesn’t fit their timeline, they need to tank this year and he has two years left on his contract which is the optimal time to get the most value.

  11. Anyone who thinks Lauri will go anywhere is just delusional lol

  12. As long as we’re not giving up kuminga or moody or podz let’s go

wait so lauri is also expiring/1 yr left? don’t include kuminga then

Ainge looking for Goebert 2.0. Give me 5 1st’s and Wiggins. And you have to take a bad contract from us. That’s going to be the counter offer, just watch.

All for a player who can bolt next year if he doesn’t like his destination.

The only real winners here are the Jazz.

Our firsts will probably be worth more in 4 years

Every warrior fan on the edge of our seats. This is our last chance at any marginal run next year. It still won’t be enough for a chip, but let us get in atleast
