[Charania,Slater] Buddy Hield didn’t make a final decision until after a late Wednesday night call with Steve Kerr and then a night to sleep on it. Hield chose the Warriors because of the opportunity to win over other interested suitors, including the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers.

Hield is currently in Valencia, Spain, starring for the Bahamian national team, which is two wins away from a shocking Olympics bid and is coached by Warriors assistant Chris DeMarco, a helpful ally in the recruitment of Hield. It had been trending this direction for a couple days, but Hield didn’t make a final decision until after a late Wednesday night call with Steve Kerr and then a night to sleep on it.

Hield chose the Warriors because of the opportunity to win over other interested suitors, including the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers.

Not a bad decision for him. Kerr likely convinced him that a Lauri, Curry, and Hield might be the best trio 3 point shooters in NBA history

LMAO. Hilarious shade to the Lakers, but also I feel like the Warriors are still nowhere fucking close lol. They’re still a play-in team.

Not even a Buddy wants to Join that Clown show

Hey Pistons, what’s up? Nice seeing you guys in the runner-up spot with us. How’ve you guys been?

  5. IceColdTrey7

    Plz clown us yall

    We really deserve it

    Plz do it

    I’m numb

  6. I don’t even think this is a knock against the other teams as much as a guy who is a big three-point shooter probably salivates at the thought of playing next to Curry where opposing teams have to play “pick your poison” with those two on the perimeter. I don’t necessarily think this makes the Warriors contenders or anything but I would see why Hield could be really excited about it.

Damn, at least the Lakers are trying haha

Idk about the whole winning part but I do think he fits a lot better with the Warriors then the Lakers/Pistons. I think he seems himself fitting into Klay’s spot perfectly.

Lol Buddy must really not want to be a Laker, because he was excited AF before the LeGM Westbrook trade scuttled the Kings trade with the Lakers in 2021. His idol is Kobe, he always wanted to be a Laker, he would have been catching passes from Lebron, and he’s the thirstiest NBA player on Instagram and would have been in heaven with all the Insta-models in LA.

kerr said he has the greenlight to chuck 3s

I get the Lakers from all the years he’s been teased here, but wtf did the Pistons do to him besides offer him less money this year?

  12. jayelecfan

lmao fuck that scrub, warriors are a tier below the lakers

  13. BUUAHAHAHA

Im sure he knows he’ll get a lot of play time..

  14. Man remember when the Lakers couldve had buddy and Myles Turner? I forgot wat they chose instead

  15. Responsible_Focus424

All these offseason posts are making for the lakers to do the funniest thing next season.

I’m agnostic on LeBron and I like AD but I never thought I would see the day where the Nuggets would so thoroughly whoop the Lakers that players would put them in the “nah bruh” pile next to the Pistons. It’s glorious.

Damn he put us in the pistons tier, im going to kms

  18. Top_Ad_2315

Buddy understands, warriors get lauri, back in contending position

  19. GalactusAteMyPlanet

Compared to the Pistons and Lakers, the Warriors definitely seem like they got an opportunity to win despite probably being a Play-In team.

  20. CasualRead_43

Lakers have had a better run than the warriors lol

  21. Lol69HaHaHa

Ok what the hell is wrong with the Lakers these days. Like nobody wants to go there anymore lol

  22. myredditaccount991

No one wants to join the Bron & Bronny circus show? Why am I not surprised.

  23. Coming from the guy who is looking quite literally unplayable in the postseason, I’m actually good with this as a Lakers fan lol

  24. JordanDoesTV

Wouldn’t he have a better chance with the lakers than warriors

  25. “win” at a place that missed the playoffs last year and made no improvements in a generally improving West?

    OK

  26. idliketoseethat

Warriors know how much money they can make with a couple of 3 point shooters on the court.

  27. No_Pay9241

    Bronny would’ve had Buddy’s playing time /sss

  28. Does anybody think Warriors are making it out of the West? I think they are still a fringe playoff team currently

  29. RVAIsTheGreatest

Dubs had the inside scoop….and even if they didn’t, Warriors are the better fit for Buddy of these three teams in a vacuum for sure.
