Breaking Down The New Look Oklahoma City Thunder Team! BEST Team in The West!?

it is very rare and we almost never see a team as good as the OKC Thunder have the year that they had where they were the youngest team to be a one seed and then go into the off season and get just get a ton better so I’m going to be breaking down this new look OKC team right after they signed Isaiah hartenstein so starting things off with what they did in the trade market they swung that trade where they traded Josh giddy who just didn’t have much of a role with OKC moving forward for Alex Caruso they get a third three-year-old perennial all NBA Defender that a lot of teams were seeking but they were able to come on top and now they’re going to extend him and have him as a piece of their core for the future he’s going to slide right into the starting lineup and be another Elite defender on an elite defensive team and then the draft where they have about a million first round picks over the last 5 to 10 years they did not have to part ways with any of those first round picks and at number 12 which was a Rockets pick that they got from the Russell Westbrook trade to Houston back in the day they got Nia topic now he’s not going to play this year because of a knee injury but they have the luxury to let a guy develop and sit and possibly turn into a star because topic was in the conversations to go number one overall at least he was a consensus top three to five pick before that injury they’re going to take an advantage and could possibly get a huge deal for a guy that can be incredible coming off the bench for years to come and then Sam pry when he knows he has his guy he’s going to show it as he traded five second round picks in order to move for another first round pick that would be Dylan Jones out of Weber State so you know when he has a guy that it’s probably going to be right Sam prees does not miss a whole lot so I think a lot of people are very high on what Dylan Jones can bring to the team as well then early second round they got AJ Mitchell out of Santa Barbara just another guy that can fit right into that culture and then what else did they do with their depth this year this morning before they got hartenstein they extended Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins on incredibly Team friendly deals for four and 5 years each now those guys were crucial pieces coming off the bench and the type of player that Championship contending teams can lose but because of what they have with the salary cap because of how young their team is and how little they’re paying some of their star players and best players they were able to afford that and then the biggest free agent deal that we’ve seen from the thunder in a long time maybe ever Isaiah hartenstein three-year deal for 87 million you can say it was an overpay but is it either you’re going to overpay for heart Stein or you’re just not going to get him at all and I think they’re going to be very happy with him one thing that really got OKC eliminated in the playoffs was they weren’t able to rebound too well Isaiah hartenstein not only is he one of the best rebounders in general but he gets a million offensive rebounds so he can get so many Second Chance opportunities for this Elite offense and then also he’s a very good playmaker from the five position as well they’ll let Chet hren kick out to the four so everything will be benefited by getting Isaiah hardenstein just a super super smart and impactful player so they were the youngest one seed in NBA history which also means we’re going to see leaps from Jaylen Williams who is just in year two and Chad holgren coming off his rookie year to go along with an MVP candidate and top five player running the show out west so let me know what you guys think is this the team to beat out west the Nuggets they just lost kcp obviously they have jic so they’re always going to have a chance but I think they’re at least the favorites to be the number one seed again they just have guys that are going to bring it every night bringing in guys like Isaiah hartenstein and Alex kuso just encapsulates that they’re going to have a bench of Lou Dort Cas Wallace Isaiah Joe Aaron Wiggins and Jaylen Williams it’s going to serve them fantastic and to make matters even better they haven’t traded any of their future first they could have three to four in next year’s draft and to go along with that Paul George left the Clippers and OKC owns the Clippers first for the next 3 years from the infamous SGA for Paul George trade you can’t have much better of an off season than the OKC Thunder things were already going well but now the league should be scared
