DeRozan is officially moving on from Chicago with no scenario of re-signing. Chicago is not willing to take on large salaries in a potential deal, so a third team has to be involved.
Since the Bulls want to duck the tax, it would be a team taking back Sacramento money and sending something to Chicago.

Kings fans are going to be surprised when they see how good he still is. Not many people have watched Bulls games recently due to their mediocrity but he’s genuinely gotten better as a scorer as he’s aged.
He’ll join Fox as a 20 plus ppg scorer with Sabonis and Keegan Murray not too far behind in the teens
Kings really going the all offense no defense route and I’m here for it. Fox, DeRozan, Monk are all scoring machines that are incredibly fun to watch

I’m not as down on DeRozan as others are because of his much-improved playmaking. I just wish he stepped it up a bit on defense. The Kings are Fox’s team, and Sabonis is good enough to be the 2nd option so he should be able to spend the energy on both sides of the ball without worry.
I forgot about microwave scorer Monk as well, so he really has no excuse not to put the effort in.
He fills a need – playmaker. His defense isn’t great, but his offense more than makes up for it. He’s 34, but started 79 games. He is definitely a player that will improve the team. The question is, what will it cost?

There’s more to spacing than being a high volume 3 point shooter. No team leaves him open at the 3 point line because the last thing you want to do is give him space on the perimeter to drive or dribble into his shot

People complaining about to spacing as if defenders have ever just sagged 10 feet off Demar throughout his career.
He’s also an underrated playmaker and now gives the Kings a minimum of two guys on the floor (mix of Fox/Monk/Demar at any one time) for the majority of the game running PnR/DHO with one of the best playmaking big men in the game.
Does this help their defense? Not really, hopefully Murray and Ellis continue to grow on that end to negate that but their offense during the regular season will be supercharged.
Living in Sacramento, I’ll continue to enjoy going to their games.

For those not watching Kings games, here’s what I’ll say about the defense:
Despite missing the playoffs our defense took a huge leap forward. That was largely due to 3 players taking a huge leap on the defensive end: Fox, Keon, and especially Keegan. That especially became clear when Keon took Huerter’s starting lineup position post Huerter’s injury. Add these players continuing to grow with Devin Carter who already just adds much needed height compared to Davion and all of the sudden we at least have a team that has a defensive identity. Big issue for us is still size. Sabonis gets criticized because he’s not a rim protector, but eye test wise defensively he’s still in the right spots/positions. Our wing defense probably takes a hit with Barnes out, but also one of our big issues last year was our offense just dried up, especially when monk went down injured. Derozan helps add immediate offense. Idk if the fit is perfect but I do know in a game where the objective is to score more points than the other team having Fox, Monk, and Derozan all hypothetically on one team does excite me.
Just thinking about how many stupid/close the kings had last year (seriously go look: we lost to the pistons at home, hornets at home, injured pacers at home, a brutal loss to the bucks at home, as well as the wizards on the road) so many of those games having a guy like Derozan feels like we win most if not all of those terrible games.
demar being a 3rd or 4th option on the kings is very scary for the west
