[Windhorst] “I can speak to that. The Hawks weren’t interested in taking Brandon Ingram.”

The fact that we passed on Ingram and wanted a player like Daniels is a great sign from our FO. We have a direction, now let Landry cook.

Unfortunately Landry gonna be cooking on a fried SPAM and bologna sandwich with jail cheese budget.

Good to hear. Landry and the front office are making smart moves. It is all so encouraging and simultaneously hilarious how most of the NBA media is shitting on the Hawks lol.

That’s the paradigm of being a Hawker. I look forward to the ESPN/Ringer article in January talking about how the Hawks are one of the surprise teams in the NBA and how their offseason was low-key genius.

Yea BI and his pending extension never made sense for us. Offensively he plays very similar to DJM at the 2 which we’ve seen isn’t a great offensive fit with Trae since our Offensive rating is best with just Trae on for the past two years.

I really like to see that we are FINALLY prioritizing defense around Trae. Last piece we need is a Walker Kessler type rim protector and we are on our way to a top 15 defense with a Trae lead top 5 ish offense.

Those two things alone would mean a borderline 50 win season. For reference bucks won 49 games being the 6th best offense and 19th best defense.

I definitely thought we was gonna take back Ingram in a Dejounte trade , just feel like it made tons of sense .. but they obviously & rightfully valued the 2 firsts more than anything , especially that lakers one

It would be depressingly hilarious to see two years of DJM fail then go after a dude that does kind of the same thing in a bigger frame
