Detroit Pistons Sign Malik Beasley To A 1-Year, $6M Deal

yo what’s going on guys and we’ve heard Malik Beasley after this morning Michael scado was talking about that Beasley was deciding between the Pelicans pistons and maybe the Mavericks for which team he signs with and Malik Beasley goes from spending the last few years on contenders to joining a team that is hoping to make the playoffs I think this is a great opportunity for Remy takes a one year $6 million deal was probably more money than he was being offered by the other by the Pistons I mean by the Pelicans or the Mavericks Pistons get themselves a volume shooter who again next to Tobias Harrison Kate Cunningham Jaylen Duren Isaiah Stewart Jaden Ivy assar Thompson as that team’s Core group I guess you would throw Marcus Sasser in there too and you you start to get a sense okay like there’s some shooting there’s some length on this team I I kind of like what they’re doing here and the plan is is they’re they’re going ahead this is a guy who participated in the three-point Three-Point Contest shot 41% from three and doing this one-year deal not only allows him to get more money than going to Contender but it also allows him to do kind of like a pro it deal so if he plays really well he could be a guy who gets a long-term deal next off season with a bit more money similar like what he had the before when if you remember what he got with the Timberwolves before he was traded to the Lakers who declined the final year of that Deal’s option but I think that was a good deal for the the Pistons because at the very least you have a guy who’s going to give you 11 points a night in the past he’s been a guy who’s flirted with like 16 17 points at night and I think having that shooting next to Kade Cunningham who people don’t realize is since LCA donic has came into the NBA the closest we’ve had to a similar Talent is Kade Cunningham and so giving Kade who just received the max a guy like Le Beasley who’s a catch and shoot three-point shooter who just does not know how does not know a bad shot and I think having that is big I think having that is big plus he’s not inept at defense so for me I think that’s one thing people don’t realize is that he can play defense plus he was a guy who was the 15th most three points made last season and that was in more in a rotational role player Ro not even as a starter so as I’ve mentioned before the idea of Malik Beasley who is a guy that in the past has been able to come in and be a a quality volume scorer I mean as I said before and in 2021 I know it was only 36 games but he’s putting up 19.6 points and then with Utah he was averaging 13 and a half so he’ll grab rebounds in big games he’ll play defense so for me if you look at a team like the Pistons who they are desperately in need of just building a roster with NBA players and that’s what we’re seeing we knew which young guys were NBA players now it was time to stop taking on random Reclamation projects and creating law jams at random positions we they already had enough guards they already had enough big men fill out the wing position and the forwards which is what they’re doing and they’re doing it with actual veterans who are pro it yeah Tobias Harrison Malik Beasley have their flaws but they’re going to give them scoring and they come from teams that have a history of winning which if that these these two guy the thing is is they’re not trying to be a contender if they can just sniff the play in and be competitive in March post allar I think that’s a win I think that’s a win in my opinion and I I know some people people are going to try to point out the flaws in this and say oh Malik Beasley was a was a terrible pickup why would you it’s a one-ear deal they could also trade him if they have to but to me it’s a genius because if he really balls out and if you’re not making the playoffs you have yourself a guy that playoff teams are going to want to trade for so again the trit Pistons signing Malik Beasley to a onee $6 million deal is a great deal I think kudos to them for doing it as they could have continued to languish I don’t even think they’ve languished but I think we’re seeing what Tran langdon’s doing and it’s way better than what Troy Weaver was doing and I really hope this was a team that is supposed to be in the position that the Orlando Magic or supposed to be in and they’re not so hopefully hopefully with luck and everything they’re going to be able to go ahead and be a team that surprises people and is competitive in in games at the end of the season I think that’s the biggest thing is try to be competitive at the end of the season which they haven’t been able to for what feels like half a decade half a decade it feels like maybe since what the second year Blake Griffin which again Blake Griffin played for the Brooklyn Nets in Celtics I think two years each so that’s like at least five years ago so the idea of Kate Cunningham Malik Beasley Tobias Harris Jaylen durren all you got to figure out is if you want to start AAR Thompson or Jay iy in there and then you have Marcus Sasser Tim Hardway J J Isaiah Stewart Off the Bench still Bobby climan and wend Moore and Ron Holland I like this team ladies and gentlemen I really do I want to hear your guys’ thoughts in the comment section what do you guys expect with the Detroit Pistons is this me being excited about maybe something that isn’t necessarily need to be that excited about I don’t know I I feel like it’s worth it because you’re getting an opportunity to to have a player come into your program that yeah how I mean you have guys who have their flaws but this is a team that felt like you just couldn’t keep a basket and I think they’ve done a great job so of getting a guy who is going to help them put baskets they have multiple guys out and I think it’s good I think it’s good so let me hear your thoughts in the comments section what do you guys think thinking why and am I wrong or are you guys in agreement with me that Malik Beasley going here solid solid solid solid solid move in my opinion one that like I don’t really see the the the negatives in terms of you I think it’s a move that you have nothing to lose so for them I like it I like like it and Shout Out Michael Scot my coworker for predicting it like always but cuz he had the he always has those inside Scoops go check out our work at hoopsy if you made it to the end of this video like comment and subscribe I love you guys well that’s it for today’s video peace out everybody I’mma go now

  1. Need some miles bridges news and summer league starts today exciting! lol at your outro “alright guys I’m gonna go now” lol

  2. Two negatives: 1. Vets take developmental minutes from the young guys. 2. If this team plays too well then, we lose our 1st round draft pick for an upcoming strong draft.
