what’s going on everyone so the Sacramento Kings are making a hard push for Demar d rozan uh Demar and his uh management are expected to meet with the Sacramento Kings to kind of talk about his fit and potentially going to the Sacramento Kings via a sign and trade with the Chicago Bulls deardo Rosen wants to get paid he doesn’t want to sign a mid-level exception or anything like that uh his Market is pretty thin I’m if he doesn’t go to Sacramento or if Sacramento doesn’t work out I’m really curious ious to see like where does he end up where does he go right is he I mean he could end up messing around and be a a player that ends up having to sign a vet minimum or go to one of these bad teams but would one of these bad teams want him because they’re probably tanking for guys like Cooper flag so it’s really going to be interesting to see how the demard rosan situation plays out but Sacramento is making a push hard for dear dear is at least interested in potentially going to Sacramento dear doesn’t really make sense for me with Sacramento cuz you got Malik Monk inder and fox so you’re going to have what fox Monk and deardo Rosen out there at times I don’t know how well that’s going to work I mean you’re talking about three guys that are best in isolation uh that neither are super excellent off ball and you know dear Fox oh Fox is a good Defender but Monk and and uh dear aren’t these like lockdown Defenders so it’s just I don’t know it’s a it’s a really kind of of curious fit to to put it nicely right I don’t want to completely write it off but it is something that is I think at least worth you know kind of mentioning but the Chicago Bulls do not want to take on salary they do not want to to sign and trade deardo Rosen and bring back a bunch of you know players and now they’re stuck with all these guys so they have to wave guys or they have to go through just the the the process of just the headache right they want a clean like hey we help you get some extra money it looks good for them shows them to like other stars like hey we’ll take care of you right we we’re an organization that takes care of you right and so Demar gets his bag Chicago looks good everybody wins but with that you got to find a third team and the San Antonio Spurs appear to be that third team now this is interesting because San Antonio has been linked to DeMar rosen now Demar rosan played for San Antonio a few years back uh and him and Greg papovich have an excellent relationship um you know the Spurs they went and got Chris Paul which I think is the best decision that they could have made uh but when the news dropped that they were linked to demard roseen it was kind of like you know okay like you know Demar Chris Paul maybe they go trade for Lori Markin in maybe they’re trying to make a little bit of a push here maybe they’re trying to to Make Some Noise this season but it was just a little curious because again it’s like okay will you have you know cell you have Castle right you got these young guys that you’re trying to grow and develop right you have these young guys that are supposed to be the future and foundation of the spur so it was like does dear make the most sense when you know yeah you could bring him in I think he’d be good for development also but if you have to work out a sign and trade you’re stuck with them for three years right because the new CBA you have to sign and trade for a three-year contract so it’s like for the Spurs does it make sense to bring in dear for three years now the Spurs could just sign him that’s always a possibility but you know what is what is his contract like like what is he willing to do right like you know and the Lori Markin in trade you’re going to have to give him a new contract so it’s like you know does that kind of make you now an apron team right it’s just there’s a lot of questions that go into like if you bring in thear it’s like this doesn’t make the most sense but as a third team that makes it ton of sense because San Antonio would essentially get free assets they’re not a team even if they went and got Lori Markin in are not a team that’s very that’s winning a championship this year know or at least they people would be shocked I think even die hard spur fans would admit like that would be a bit surprising yes you got Chris Paul Lori Marin and uh Vel and Castle along with Victor but still it’s just like you look at some of the teams in the west unless Victor becomes this just like clear-cut best player in the league which you never know I mean he was very impressive last year more likely than than not winning a championship right and they’re a team that looks like they want to grow and develop their young Talent so it’s like hey if you can get some free assets if you can get you know maybe a young player or maybe even not even necessarily A young player but maybe somebody that makes sense and fits okay cool let’s let’s go that route so there’s two options in which the Spurs can kind of make this work first option is they get Assets in which they could use to go and add to a trade right Lori Markin in for example the Spurs are interested and have thrown their name in the Hat uh and seem to be a team that’s really pushing the Warriors are are the team that’s submitted the offer and and are really pushing extra hard for marketing but the Spurs have interest Spurs have been heavily linked to marketing and if you could get a couple more assets I don’t think you’ll get a first fur facilitating the deal but could you get a second or two I mean even the Warriors got two seconds for the clay trade right for facilitating the TR clay trade so could the Spurs maybe get a second or two that then you could use in a potential trade um for marketing or even just later on down the road even if it’s not Lorry marketing if somebody else becomes available that maybe makes sense for the Spurs they could go and snag him and kind of have just more assets they could tack on if to to push push them over the top let’s say it’s kind of like ah you know yeah we like the package with this team you know we’re kind of deciding between you two it’s like well we do have the you know the the Kings to second round picks we could give you those and it’s like oh okay fine that that’ll put you over the top right just gives them another you know little treasure in their Treasure Chest right so that’s a great approach uh for the trade front the other side of things is maybe they get back somebody like a herder right the Sacramento King are they’d have to include salary if they want to pull this off and uh they want to ship out or at least they’ve looked to ship out Kevin herder um I don’t hate the idea of the Spurs bringing in a guy like herder uh he’s still very young he’s 25 years old gives you some three-point shooting especially alongside Victor wiama especially alongside Chris Paul kind of have that outlet guy that come off the bench and could just you know knock it down right this is a guy that could be you know kind of there the the Spurs Steve Kerr right like um you know but just just a knockdown three-point shooter doesn’t hurt that you’d essentially get for free you essentially get him for for just doing good work and I think uh you know adding a guy like Kevin herder he is a piece that could be a actual rotation piece now but also a rotation piece for the future like I mentioned he’s 25 years old um and also his contract right because that’s the big thing it’s like okay well what’s his contract well he’s making 16 million this year and then he’s making 17 million next year so he’s not he’s not on this like you know $22 million he’s on a reasonable contract um not the most ideal but again you’d have him this year next year he’d be an expiring 17 million almost 18 million just literally like dollars shy of$ 18 million expiring contract that you could use in a future trade in a potential trade or you know just kind of a placeholder for next year if you need it and then his money falls off the books and now you’re in good shape and now maybe you go sign that big free agent or whatever right so I just think it would give them flexibility and herder is a is a guy that has some level of value right Kevin herder is a guy that you know teams would enjoy to have a 25-year-old shooter that can can knock it down and and play well off ball I mean this is a guy from three-point range that has had seasons in which he shot 40 plus% he’s a career 38% on uh roughly six attempts 5.7 attempts per game uh so you know you got a guy that can knock it down in volume add an efficient clip they can play Off the Bench um you know play 15 to 20 minutes give you you know 10 points uh give you a couple rebounds and assist uh and you know it just could be a quality rotation piece that you’re essentially getting for free and gives you like I said that flexibility so I think that they would be in good shape uh you you got to look like you know Spurs with Chris Paul are more likely than not not going to be the a bottom two team right I mean just the the Chris Paul effect I did a video earlier today diving into the uh Chris Paul effect on the Spurs and you look at like just the increase in win percentage Spurs are probably going to be competing for bare minimum of play in team will they actually make the play who knows because the West again is incredibly stacked but I I wouldn’t rule it out I wouldn’t even be shocked if they end up making the playoffs um so they’re a team that’s you know basically not tanking for the bottom right because they were they’d kind of just run it back you know be bad another year whatever games you win with Victor you win with Victor but adding Chris Paul it’s more about getting the guys you have now to really grow and develop in a proper direction and then um you know so if you can add a piece that can kind of help and maybe win you a couple games to in your pursuit to even just get into the play in or something I think that’s very valuable for Chicago they get to again look good help demaro R Ro in maybe they get a second or something back in return so that way you know they feel like they got something and then demaro Rosen he gets to go to a team in Sacramento Sacramento gets their guy and get an upgrade and then also I mean there’ll probably be other pieces involved but you look at a guy like Kevin herder I think he makes some sense it’s kind of a win-win for everybody right and that’s what you want to see in these three team deals right like that everybody involved kind of gets gets a win um again curious about the the king’s fit for tomorrow but nonetheless if it happens I think it’s great for all parties but
