Front loaded and partially guaranteed… what’s not to like. At the very least, he becomes incredibly tradeable if there is a problem in a few years. Very savvy from the brain trust. Who even restructures a contract these days?

It appears it’s essentially 2.5 years guaranteed money in the case he breaks, but potentially 5 years locked up if he truly stays healthy. And at 14.5 mil per year, if JI is healthy and playing for this squad at that point, it will be the best contract in the league by far.

Wow, that’s an amazing contract considering how much non-guaranteed there is. That’s better than an NFL contract lol. And bravo for JI for accepting that. He’s betting on himself and shows love to the team. A lot of love.
