[Scotto] The Los Angeles Lakers are adding Greg St. Jean as an assistant coach to JJ Redick’s staff, league sources told @hoopshype. He won a championship as part of Frank Vogel’s Lakers staff in 2020 and has since been an assistant coach with Jason Kidd in Dallas and Vogel in Phoenix.

Someone tell me how to feel about this
Decent hire, is already a coach champ with the Lakers and has worked with LBJ n AD.
Tbh JJ just needs warm bodies, and people that have experience at the NBA level.
some familiarity and has experience is always nice
What happened to Rondo?
I wonder how Lakers go about finding the staff. Is it mainly JJ talking to coaches asking if they’re interested, is JJ asking rob or other people in the front office.
Would be nice to add a defensive guru soon
Fuck Pingalore first of all.
Second of all, nice! I like some familiarity and experience. Feels like the FO probably pushed this one and his name has been in the mix for a while now. Hope he works out!
That’s Garry St Jeans baby boy, outlier, grew up in coaching family.
So the coaching staff is complete? Or can add 1 more? I just want Rondo maybe he ain’t ready yet.
He had a role in a movie LeBron produced. He has scenes with Adam Sandler and Anthony Edwards. He said the opportunity came about while on the Lakers. We hear about players choosing the Lakers for Hollywood but this is the first time I’ve thought about a coach doing that.
Bring dudley back
He’s got coaching genes as well… his dad was a long time nba coach & gm with sac & gsw mainly
