Is Paul Reed the ANSWER for the Bucks?

Is Paul Reed the ANSWER for the Bucks?

so this morning the 76ers waved Paul Reed to make room for a guy that was for me a Target for the bucks and free agency and Caleb Martin but he signed a 4-year $32 million deal so that’s never something the Bucs could have competed with in terms of an offer and so that leaves Paul Reed available and I want to talk about if I think that’s a good pickup for the buckaroos because I’ve been seeing some people talk about it maybe it’s a possibility and in my last video talking about the remaining free agents that bucks could get I mentioned that there was one thing the Bucks really still have a need in and that’s a big man that’s is versatile defensively because Brook Lopez Elite R rim protector if he’s still around he’s an elite rim protector but if he if he has to do anything outside of the paints it gets rough if you put him in a pick and roll and the ball handler is abusing the mid-range Brook Lopez I have seen him get exploited time and time again in those situations the biggest time that comes to mind is the Nets and the conference semifinals with Kevin Durant we were lucky Chris bton was killing on the other end and that they didn’t have any real any any Kyrie to really help out um Kevin Durant offensively so Brook Lopez when he has to do anything other than protect the rim defensively not great and then we got Bobby poris but if you ask him to do anything on defense it’s not great so that’s really the one need for the bucks is a versatile defensive big man and and for Paul Reed he’s exactly that he’s a guy that’s athletic and strong enough to hold it down under the rim and a way that Bobby poris doesn’t but he’s also much more athletic and Nimble um and switchable than Brook Lopez not only could he um inter he could he hedge a little bit interfere with the ball handler and get back to his man he could also switch on some guys and be able to defend as well so Paul Reed would be a perfect fit for what the Bucks need so I do think that Paul Reed would be a great pickup especially seeing as offensively he could also space the floor because that’s not even something I’m necessarily needing in a big man because I think at this point of Yan’s career it’s possible you could put him on the floor with a non-shooting big if you have Chris Middleton Dame and another shooter out there but Paul Reed shot 37% from three so he probably could knock down a corner three offensively as well for the bucks but this is the only thing I would say for John horse with the remaining free agency because the Bucks fans are all talking about with our one remaining spot what what should we do and technically that is where it at where it’s at right now for the bucks but John horse can’t view it as that if you have the opportunity if Gary Trent JR says you know what I’ll sign approve it deal with these buckaroos Paul Reed says same thing I’ll come sign for the minimum you can’t just be like he we only have one roster spot we’ve got to decide between which one or if Ty Jones wants to come any of any of those situations you have to make room so whatever it takes you have to clear a roster spot if you could get Gary Trent Jr and a Paul Reed whether that’s just dumping Chris Livingston waving him whether that’s um just finding a way to trade pack content throwing an asset whe that’s training Bobby poris or Brook Lopez whatever the case is uh if the Bucks are able to get guys at this level you have to do it and you have to find a way to make it happen and I think Paul Reed would be a perfect ition for the bucks earlier I said this was the one need but up until Paul Reed became available I didn’t really think there was any big man the Bucks could pursue because there’s just no big man that really was good enough to justify pursuing them over a Gary Trent Jr even if it is more of a need for the bucks maybe like a chimi metu but realistically I don’t know if he’s a good guy that’s good enough to get good big minutes on a contending team but Paul Reed he’s been able to hold it down for the 76ers when Joel embiid’s been out and do a pretty good job play pretty big minutes for the 76ers and have a good positive impact and he’s definitely a guy that doesn’t hurt you when he’s out there in any way by being a liability he can knock down an open three he can protect the rim a little bit he can switch enough he’s versatile he’s athletic he could rebound he does pretty much everything you want and he played in all 82 games last year that’s a great guy that the Bucks could be able to get and so if you’re John hor you got to be on the phones trying to make it happen by any means but let me know know what y’all think drop a comment hit that like And subscribe please yes sir

  1. Get rid of Pat Connington. I was done with him a long time ago. he is just not consistent enough for the Bucks any longer. It’s business baby.

  2. I’m sorry I feel like you just don’t watch the bucks, Bobby portis is one of the best catch and shoot players in the league and is a double double off the bench, stop undermining his value with these constant trade videos when he’s one of the few people who showed up last playoffs, Khris Middleton is way more of a trade asset and would actually upgrade what we need. Which is wing and perimeter defense and athleticism. Dame cannot be in the backcourt with another small guard that can’t defend we’ve seen how that goes his entire career. Along with a switchable wing that can play 2-4 so giannis can play the 5 in switch lineups

  3. Gary Trent Jr? No. I'd rather pick up Buddy Boheiem, he does everything Gary Trent Jr and more. Buddy hustles hard, plays defense, can pass, and set screens.

  4. I know his young, athletic and has shown some skills but he’s also undersized, inconsistent and not the defender some think he is. They’re limitations there. I’d pass.
