KCP on if it was difficult to leave Denver: “It took a while to think about it. There was a sense of me waiting to see if they [Denver] was gonna come back with an offer—But to be apart of this organization, [Orlando] they wanted me just as much as I wanted them.” [Brett James via Twitter/X]

  1. If it’s true that Denver didn’t even attempt an offer as free agency was looming, I’m sorry that’s just disrespectful. And that type of treatment is talked about among players. It’s an indictment on how Booth’s treats championship players.

Man he pretty much saying he would’ve stayed if we offered him the same. Makes this very tough to swallow considering how important he was for us.

  3. We did, but it was likely a lot less. With how bad KCP was in the playoffs, especially being the worst defender vs Ant, he wasn’t worth it sadly

  4. Disrespectful, arrogant and pretty cocky from Booth

Booth is gone after this year unless our rookies and second year players significantly overperform. He’s in over his head and does not seem very competent as an NBA GM.

It’s bitter but as long as we extend Murray Gordon Watson Braun I understand booth didn’t want to pay a 3&d guard who couldn’t defend the best guard (ant) of our conference rival

I love KCP’s contribution to the Nuggets as much as anyone but fuck, can we please stop acting like dudes jersey should’ve been up in the rafters? My god.
