If Al is allowed to wear that hat we’re going undefeated

The scariest team, the Nuggets, got worse. The Bucks got older. The Sixers and Mavs added injury prone stars who will be 35 in the playoffs.
The Magic and Knicks got better, but probably not enough. The OKC got better, but I’m not sure they make it out of the West.

New York & Philly are actually pretty good teams but we are for sure the clear cut most talented team in the entire nba imo
chincurtis3
Yeah there are a ton of teams that are legitimate threats. Whether those teams are there and healthy in the playoffs remains to be seen. I still think the most important factor is whether the Celtics are healthy themselves
iamamuttonhead
I think the Knicks are probably the biggest threat. The biggest threat is the health of the Celtics. I think the team, if healthy, will be better next season than they were last season.

Yeah. Next season is not a cakewalk at all. NYK PHI ORL just to name a few. Orlando had our absolute number this year. West idk. But no thrones.
POEManiac99
Knicks and Sixers are legit contenders in the east. OKC got much, much better. Knicks vs. Celtics games will be a must watch next season.
coacoanutbenjamn
The 76ers have to stay healthy which isn’t exactly likely, but I don’t think we should overlook them. They still have 4 first round picks to trade, they are gonna get at least one more good player

OKC gonna be nasty this season. They are copying our blueprint

OKC, New York.

The Lakers now have Bronny James.
Watch out.

Nope. We’re going 82-0 😎👀

Knicks look really good right now. Brunson, OG, Bridges, Randell, Robinson with Hart and Divincenzo off the bench is a legit team. I’ll still take the Cs, but that’s a really athletic team that can shoot and has depth.
Oceanbreeze871
It’s a marathon so whoever is healthy and playing well
Hogo-Nano
I really like the team the Knicks have built. On paper we are better but i wouldn’t be surprised if they gave us a run
schoolboypoop
OKC and the Knicks I think are the biggest threats.
If Milwaukee can figure it out between dame and giannis they can still be a great duo, but I don’t think they have the depth or youth needed to really hang about in the playoffs.
Other than health and those two mentioned, I don’t know if I think there’s another team that can compete at the same level.
But who knows with trades etc. there’s definitely a few teams that could make some moves to improve their chances.
Just want to take a second to laugh at Philly, bless em they really believe that team is competing for a championship. I’m gonna be laughing when they exit in the second round after Embiid and PGs knees turn to pudding 😂
swolicannoli
So much funny shit here. Al’s hat. Jaylen’s “state your source” tee. And fucking Ringus Kingus w the Belt, hooboy!
BaybayYoda
NY, Milwaukee and maaaybe Philly are the only teams that worry me in the east for next year. Out west, the Nuggets would be a problem and OKC looks really good. Minny would probably be a tough match up too and Dallas will be back. At least all those teams will beat up on each other though. Deadline trades are going to play a big factor in helping to put someone over the top.
Lebrons____Hairline
The Celtics will definitely be the favorites next year but it’s so hard to repeat in the NBA I would say there are teams that pose a “legitimate” threat to them. Other people have already said it, but I think Denver, OKC, Minnesota, NYK, Philly, and Milwaukee have to at least be considered as threats. Not sure Dallas did enough to improve and don’t see any other teams making that big of a leap next year to be in the conversation.
Jokesiez
As much as confidence as I have in our team. I’ve lived through the Patriots perfect season…. as long as they don’t underestimate anyone. Looking forward to the next season already.
YukkaRinnn
the only teams i see being a threat (by threat i mean losing to the Celtics in 6-7 Games) are the Pacers, Knicks Thunder Bucks (if they arent injured) and the Nuggets. Now why no Sixers? Cuz they will def shit the bed in the second round or have Embiid or PG injured
aja_ramirez
The correct answer is that the field poses the biggest threat, and in fact is favored over the Celtics.
dtay88
Yes. It will be unlikely for the celtics to repeat
thetruth0102
Healthy Bucks will always be out there, Nuggets too as long as they have Jokic and their other three key players.
Other than those two, I don’t think there has any.
Honorable mention: Philly, Wolves, Knicks and Pacers.
Laszlo-Panaflex
A few teams moved up a tier into contender status, but we’re still in our own tier by ourselves. Sixers, Knicks, OKC and the Mavs are all in that next tier down and improved, along with the Nuggets who got a little worse and Minny who stayed the same.
kpopvapefiend
Mavs: Adding Klay just gives the Celtics another perimeter player to target relentlessly. Kyrie has shown hes not that guy anymore
Pacers: can’t defend, every Celtics starter is a better overall player than every Pacer
Nuggets: zero perimeter d, Jokic would have to average 40 while Jamal gets clamped
Wolves: JB can outplay Ant on both ends. KP and Al can lure Gobert out of the paint, KAT would have to guard JT
OKC: Too young, never beat a quality playoff team, no bench
Bucks: zero perimeter D, too old and slow, little depth. Doc Rivers is the coach.
Knicks: Jrue DWhite and JB can contain brunson, no one else really scares you offensively. Bridges and OG can’t compete with the Jays.
Sixers: not really even worth mentioning

Everyone sleeping on the Harlem Globetrotters

Knicks, Sixers, OKC, and Mavs got better. Also don’t sleep on the Pelicans. If they can move BI in a deal for a legitimate center, that’s a solid team
WorkersUnited111
Obviously the Celtics are the favorite, but not the massive favorite.
OKC, Dallas, New York, Philly all got better. The Bucks might start to turn it around and Minnesota might improve with the additional experience.
And the era of the dominant teams in a single decade are over.
Never underestimate how hard it is to repeat as champions or take it for granted.
sproggy_doo24
Yes, there are a handful of teams. Especially if we don’t get KP back at full strength or he reinjures.
Drizzlybear0
There are really only two teams I’d be even sweating about barring injuries: OKC and NY.
OKC is probably the best matchup wise for us, they’re going to be incredibly versatile defensively much like we were this past season and while I think they haven’t quite figured out their full offensive game plan yet if they can nail that down this season they are going to be scary. I don’t place too much stock in the “theyre too young” stuff tbh
The Knicks are going to be pretty damn good next season, they are going to be one of those teams where you have to bring your A game every single night and that will fight you until the last minute every single game. They have dogs top to bottom and they will have lots of familiarity with each other. They’re going to be a very fun team to watch, their weak point is going to be that they will likely be very small, don’t have a ton of depth with their bigs and their guard defense is sketchy.
