Paul George And The Clippers: A Failed Experiment
Paul George has signed with the Philadelphia 76ers this off season and there are many freaking questions we have to answer as Los Angeles Clipper fans for example did the Clippers and Lawrence Frank fight hard enough to keep Paul George in LA or what about if we we had to redo it again would we have given Oklahoma City Thunder all the picks and most importantly Shake gilis Alexander to get Paul George to LA with Kaw Leonard where do the Clippers go from here let’s start answering these questions let’s get to [Music] it so did the Clipper organization and Lawrence Frank fight hard enough to keep Paul George look we all know the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement changes from season to season and to understanding and how it will affect your team is something of CBA nerds and trust me they’re out there they get paid a lot of money just to be a CBA nerd the only thing that Lawrence Frank and his CBA Personnel understood was that the NBA modified the collective bargaining agreement for NBA owners that are way wealthier than other NBA owners and that don’t mind overspending to get the appropriate players they want if you don’t get what I mean by now let me tell you that this new collector agreement was Rewritten to affect both Steve bomber and the Los Angeles Clippers ladies and gentlemen they couldn’t have multiple allst star while trying to get BR bench players that want to get paid at the same time as the all stars especially over a three-year period or more this is why kawi Leonard took less money over a less period of time than his previous contract yes he got three years $153 million in his contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers past January 2024 they just resigned James Harden to a 2-year deal worth $70 million both of these players agreed to a contract with the Clippers that didn’t pass the three-year Mark and that’s important for Steve bomber Lawrence Frank and the Clippers organization as a whole because they don’t know what direction they will take when this team gets to the year 2028 see Harden is currently 34 years old he would be 38 if he had gotten a 4-year contract kawh Leonard is currently 33 years old and he would have been 37 if he had gotten a 4-year contract now Paul George he’s currently 34 years old just like Harden and he too would be 38 years old in 2028 this makes no sense to an NBA fan nor an NBA Administration or an organization that needs to get younger after their Allstars reach a certain age of 35 36 yeah Paul George was offered a three-year contract at a max value but he was adamant to get a 4-year max deal if you follow the Clippers organization train of thought and past history over the last couple of months four years for Paul George really didn’t make any sense if they wanted to continue to be competitive in the Western Conference and NBA overall so it’s been years now since the famous trade occurred and the million-dollar question is is who won the trade between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Clippers well the answer is very simple today that’s the Oklahoma City Thunder one they won the trade without a shadow of a doubt let’s take it from both sides so you can understand why when the Clippers wanted to obtain Kawai lanard in 2019 he put some conditions on Steve bomber and the Clippers organization one of these conditions was that they needed to trade for Paul George as well or kawhai Leonard would probably sing with the Los Angeles Lakers stupidly they agreed to Leonard’s terms and they traded for Paul George the Clippers have gone to the playoff yet they either had Paul George or kawh Leonard or even both of them injured during the playoff runs at the beginning of the duel regime Paul Georgia was horrible he was known around the NBA as playoff P playoff P because he sucked during the playoffs on the other hand the Oklahoma City Thunder re see Shay gilis Alexander and five five first round draft picks wow we were stupid look as of today Shay is a superstar in the NBA theunder have made some wonderful picks since getting the Clippers draft picks and they are going to be playoff contenders for many more years to come and probably could win a championship Oklahoma City won the damn trade and we all know am I wrong all right so the question is now what do the Clipper organization and its administrators do from here on out well this has truly been one of the most horrible years for the LA Clippers their main Guru the NBA logo himself the great Jerry West passed away a few weeks ago Lawrence Frank is on the hot seat he lost his mentor and he lost Paul George they have gotten some good replacement players to fill the void that George left it’s not enough they got Nicholas Paton to fill defensive role they needed they got Mo bomba as a backup center after they lost Plumley Chris Dunn who tends to be great when playing against the Clippers joins the organization and they also got Derek Jones right off the bat the Dallas Mavericks who actually played pretty good against him they possibly are in the running right now to get Demar D Rosen or miles Bridges either one would be great for the team look to be honest the Clippers got better better on the back end defensively but they definitely have to hit it out of the park with the Rosen or Bridges to say that the Clippers are not on the losing end after losing Paul George now with no Jerry West to consult with Laur trank and Steve bomber the question that looms at the front office is if the Clipper owner has enough confidence with Lawrence Frank at the helm to handle everything or they should go and get a better executive consultant to help the team get better to obtain the possible best players out there in the draft or to play magnificent chess moves that could get them pawns to trade or trade certain players for an improved lineup the goals to win a championship as a Clippers transition into their new NBA Clippers logo the one with the boat as a transition also from crypto Arena Orly known as Staple Center into their new beautiful int Dome this upcoming season will they get there in the next year F no no no they won’t get there can they do it in the next two to three years yes all they need to do is play Smart in both the court and in the front office with their moves let us know what you think about the loss of Paul George and where the Los Angeles kers can go from here to win an NBA championship do you think Oklahoma City Thunder won the trade or do you think the Clippers won the train you’re stupid if you think the Clippers won the trade they lost it don’t forget to like subscribe share and follow thanks for watching we’ll see you in the next one great [Music]
