I had no idea Beekman was a two time ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He looks like he could be a menace defensively, Kerr’s going to love that.

I mean, lets not think he’s going to be a valuable contributor this year. Maybe around the edges but unless there are massive injuries, he’s gonna ride the pine most of the season. I mean, even Pat Spencer looked good yesterday. That tells you something.

Can someone help me understand who these guys are? Obviously they’re incredible basketball players but none of them are going to be on our active roster?

I think it’s crazy that he was undrafted. He had a bad year offensively last year but generally the two years prior he was a guy that could hit shots and get to the rim. Mostly though he can become a very very good defender.
He’s a steal and I think going undrafted is going to give him the edge he needs to succeed. I don’t see him getting many minutes but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a contract after this year.
