SHOCKING Warriors Trade! Warriors Acquiring Lauri Markkanen Update… | Warriors News

hello dub Nation we have a lot to discuss today an update on Lori marinan a big development for the Warriors that we’re going to break down for you and the Warriors historic offseason it was recently reported that the Utah Jazz are willing to trade Lori marinan with the Jazz now open to trading Lori marinan the bidding for him is officially open and the biders have just one job and pressed the man behind some of the most Sinister robberies of all time Danny a one team that has been extremely persistent in trying to impress the Utah Jazz is the Golden State Warriors the team that just lost Klay Thompson and also lost Paul George despite reportedly doing everything they could to get him in fact it was reported that the Clippers rejected not just one but multiple trade proposals for Paul George in my opinion they deserve an a for effort Klay Thompson’s departure along with the current state of the Warriors left a hold that Anthony Milton Kyle Anderson and even body healed couldn’t fill alone and Lori marinan is the essential piece to fill that space as everyone knows dear D Roan was traded to the Kings I have to say this is a huge addition for the Kings with sabonis d rozan Fox as the top three players and Malik Monk on the team they have the potential to return to the playoffs as long as everyone stays healthy but why am I talking about the Kings because they were interested in Markin which now giv gives the Warriors more chances now that the Kings have derozen they have taken themselves out of the race for marinan potentially leaving the Warriors in a better position to land and extend him in return the Spurs received Harrison Barnes from the Kings the Bulls received Chris dwarte and two second round picks and the Kings got Demar D rozan for three years and $72 million at 34 years old but before that the kings were seriously pursuing Lori marinan according to Anthony Slater Slater reported that the Kings made an offer to the Jazz that they believed would be sufficient in terms of draft picks but Utah did not respond by the deadline causing the Kings to shift their focus to D rozan the Kings did not include Harrison Barnes Kevin hder or Keegan Murray in the offer who were important players for the team the Jazz and no rush to trade marinan did not accept the offer heavy on draft picks this suggests the Jazz would prefer to keep marinin especially after he was named the 2023 most improved player averaging 20 points per game and excelling at three-point shooting many fans comment on markkanen’s frequency of games but it’s important to remember that Utah often sat him out to secure better draft picks with the Kings out of the race for marinan the Warriors have a better chance although other teams like the Spurs who have numerous draft picks could still be in the mix there are rumors that the Warriors could pursue Brandon Ingram if they can’t get marinan we are now a week into the free agency period and the market is quieter we will continue to update you on this another important point the Warriors made history for the first time in the NBA six teams participated in a trade simultaneously Mavericks Timberwolves Warriors nuggets hornets and 76ers Klay Thompson went to Dallas the Mavericks received Klay Thompson and a 202 5 second round pick the Timberwolves got second round picks in 2025 and 2031 plus money the Warriors acquired buddy heeled the Nuggets got money the Hornets got Josh Green Reggie Jackson and second round picks in 2029 and 2023 and the 76ers got a second round pick in 2031 on the warrior Side Kyle Anderson a 2.06m versatile Winger was added to the squad he’s not the best perimeter shooter but he offers above average defense and is known for his ability to make decisive plays Draymond Green praised Anderson on his podcast highlighting his ability to contribute to the team buddy yield with 40% three-point shooting arrives to replace Klay Thompson’s production heeld has led the NBA in three-point shooting the past five seasons while Clay’s defense was Stellar in his prime heal can make up for that with his offensive prowess especially in decisive moments the Warriors also acquired two picks from the Mavericks one sent to the 76ers to get healed and another to the Timberwolves to get Kyle Anderson Klay Thompson who wore number 11 with the Warriors will now wear number 31 with the Mavericks without marinan the Warriors are still in a good position Bob Meyers the general manager did a great job this off season turning the loss of Chris Paul and clay Thompson into acquiring buddy heal the Anthony Milton and Kyle Anderson as well as selecting Quinton post and REE beakman in the draft the warriors’s future is still uncertain with marinan but they could pivot to Brandon Ingram additionally they still need a rim protector pivot in the comments below tell us where you think Lori would be most deadly maybe you like the idea of him joining Curry late in his career it’s time for another addition of is that MC nuts my let’s start with the Warriors they’ve had a successful off season if I said that is that MC nuts so I’m going to say this is not MC nuts and hear me out before you say they didn’t go grab a big fish uh I think they have to understand that they’re now in a different category of team as far as being contenders I love Kyle Anderson I love buddy Hill I think they are terrific role players um they’re going to be able to space the floor again Anderson is very versatile I don’t know or I don’t think I should say that there was a big fish that would have put them over the proverbial hump so all things considered I think this is patient this is measured um and this is okay they’re entering a new erir Bobby will would you rank Golden State’s off season thus far I would put them in the top five on July 5th as far as off Seasons here I really like the Kyle Anderson and De Anthony Melton and certainly buddy heel you know certainly three separate transactions there but here’s the butt as Monica said is this roster good enough to get from 46 wins last year in a 10 seed here I still have questions about that yeah so they have uh assets to make more moves and even if they close the Buddy hee deal which by the way buddy heeld is going to put up the kind of three-point shooting that you know comparable to Klay Thompson if he gets minutes and um you know the Anthony Melton is a better defender of perimeter players at this point than Klay I mean with those two pieces they’ve you know effectively filled in for clay at at at at a reasonable price they have four tradable first round picks and they have some expiring salary hanging around their roster they have a couple of tough contract extensions to work out between now and the fall Jonathan kuminga being the the the front there but they still can can make a big swing when a player becomes available they’ve had some conversations on Lowry Markin and not sure that’s going to happen but the Warriors are not in a terrible place they’re not the same team they were 3 years ago but they’re not in a desperate situation I think that’s it’s important to realize where are they Zach in the hierarchy in the uh in the Western Conference are they closer to being a a title Contender or a you know a playin team or worse I think they’re kind of with the Lakers in that muck between seed five and Seed 10 or 11 or 12 in a conference that is pretty deep in good solid teams and like I said about the Lakers there’s nothing wrong with being a good team in the Western Conference it’s hard to be a good team when there are so many other good teams but there’s a big gap between good team and great team and the Warriors have more assets than the Lakers to close that Gap I do think they’ll continue to talk with Utah about Lowry marinin is he the guy that closes the Gap that always depends on what goes out the door and if I’m the Utah Jazz if I’m Danny a I want Jonathan kaminga or else I’m just not going to do that deal I don’t know that Danny angel will take that stance but if he does that presents a really interesting dilemma for the war because kaminga is kind of the gem of the youth movement that has been happening while all this other drama at the top of the roster has also been happening so I think that’s where they are and that’s not a bad place to be they’re not a bad team they’re a good solid team Bobby what how you feeling about the Warriors offseason and what might come next for them is there is there more you expect them to do I I do I think the difference between the Warriors and where Lakers are is they have blue chip prospects when you look at certainly Jonathan kaminga and Moses Moody and Brandon Pim and and Brian mentioned the draft Equity they can go out and and trade here they’ve got a lot of these sweet spot contracts I call them guys in that five to10 million range where you can combine salary certainly that Andrew Wiggins contract is sitting on your book as a big number if you had to move here um so I think they are in a good position if there is a you know all it takes is one player to become available but there’s certainly teams like San Antonio that’s sitting on a lot of draft picks Brooklyn Oklahoma City they’re still behind those teams if Mar in does become available and certainly San Antonio can probably put the best offer uh on the table much more to come on NBA free agency even though it seems like it all happens it’s time for the Warriors to consider a risky move for years the Warriors played conservatively resigning their veteran Stars while using draft picks on young prospects that was the two- timeline strategy Champion by owner Joe lacab while it brought them victory in the 2022 NBA Finals it proved inadequate to sustain their Dynasty the upcoming offseason emerges as a critical moment for the Golden State Warriors ready to reshape the franchise’s trajectory will they commit to one last attempt at winning the championship or will they opt for a financial restructuring Mike dunlevy Jr and the front office face a series of daunting choices leaving fans eager to discover the
