Paul George: “[GSW] were expressing how much they wanted me there. How I fit with Dray, Steph, Podz, Kuminga, Wiggins. Looney going to be there. It was very intriguing. Ultimately the deal didnt go through. Clippers didnt want the trade deal. It was close. I was looking forward to it if it happened”

I’m ok with not having Paul George. His durability is questionable. He also chokes in the playoffs and blames everybody else.

I didn’t care much that we didn’t get PG13 since I believe Lauri would’ve helped this team a lot more but now it looks like we are getting neither.

Aint nobody wanna pay pg alot of money when hes around 38 bruh, im glad it didnt happen.

He didn’t think Klay would be there. lol Funny he’s name checking Podz.

This would’ve been amazing, I totally disagree with the haters. He’s a high percentage shooter, >40% 3pt shooter, he can score in every different way, catch and shoot, create his own shot, drive, pull up, etc. He’s a high end defender who takes pride in defending. He’s also not selfish on the court. He’s a reliable minimum 20 ppg which we desperately need – something neither klay or wigs could do reliably. He would’ve certainly played up to his potential playing next to Curry and with Draymond also feeding him. Imagine draymond playing point with curry and PG getting open, then also potentially keeping Klay as a spot up shooter, and Kuminga as a 3rd or 4th option scorer. And then look at our defense – we’d be stacked with defensive wings who can also score – and thats a highly valuable trait. Super disappointed this didn’t go through. There is no other available player who truly fits the mold of a 2nd option scorer – not even Lauri.

So the trade offer must have been CP + GPII + Moody. Welp that’s gonna be awkward for GPII and Moody this season if they don’t end up traded. They’re two of the most utmost professional so they’ll be great sports and not make things uncomfortable for everyone else, but still can’t imagine just on a base human level how awkward that must feel. There’s a reason FOs don’t like when details of failed tailed proposals get out in the media.

Also shoutout Jackie for being a faithful member of the Loon Fan Club. Such a real one 🫡

Tough, that was their one chance to get back on the path to contention. I wonder what the Warriors were actually willing to give.

Also the quote seemed like he was listing off Podz, Kuminga, and Wiggins and saying he wasn’t sure who was going to be in the trade, not that all of them would stay.

Everybody saying they wouldn’t have liked PG to the warriors sounds dumb. This man would have been a perfect fit. Really good 3 pt shooter – both off the catch and dribble. Another guy who can create his own shot. But most importantly – a 6’10” guy who can defend 1-4 and also grab boards. He would have been an incredible fit. I’m sure LAC just ultimately didn’t want to help out what’s been one of their biggest rivals over the past decade.

  9. We knew this already but hearing it straight from him hurts a bit more

  10. Shows again what a buttlicking-owner-and liar Kawakami is.

  11. Clippers didn’t like the deal huh? So instead they get nothing in return except the cap space I guess to sign Derrick Jones lmfao. So petty. Hope MDJ remembers that in future dealings.

  12. justwater

I’m happier with the pieces they landed instead

  13. the players are the players; i dont hear about draft picks. 2-3 first picks wouldve made the deal

  14. Unfair-Worker929

The Clippers demanded too much and the Warriors didn’t want to get shafted.

  15. neo9027581673

Clippers were never gonna help the Warriors; ever.

Just a poverty franchise with a rich owner.

Wait does this mean the warriors aren’t trading Wiggins…. OH NO WHYYYYY
