All the hate right now.

Opening up the comments on this cbs post made me post this discussion…

Is anyone else astonished and frustrated by the amount of negativity surrounding the Franz signing?

    Let ‘em hate, frankly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If anything all this discourse is proving *just how little* people know about this team and its strengths.

We’ll just keep the receipts are laugh when April comes! Go Magic!

  2. I wish we’d signed him for $35-40. That would’ve given us more space to build around him and Paolo.

Not astonished. Do I think he can be worth the money? Sure. He must keep improving though to make it worth a max, because last year he didn’t play well enough to prove he’s a max guy.

We value him highly but that’s because we add in projected improvement that we hope for. Other team’s fans just see his production black and white. 19.7 ppg, 3.7 apg, 5.3 rpg, and his dip in 3p% doesn’t really add up to a max. Let’s hope he hears this chatter and gets a chip on his shoulder.

They’re all just 14 year olds commenting “huh huh but muh game 7”, leave em be

    Franzly speaking, I don’t give a damn. Let’s GO!!

What a weird headline. Like, Luka and SGA will get much bigger contracts when they get paid again.

As for everyone else on the list, which of them deserve more money than Franz? Maybe Jrue since he just won a chip, but Franz is younger and frankly better than most of them. Not Irving, but dude is also a head case.

It’s just timing. The later in time that near max/max level players get into in league the more money they will make with the cap constantly rising. Barnes got the same extension so not sure why he is listed.

High level role players are signing contracts worth 20-25 million a year these days. Sure, the Franz max looks like a lot now, but in a few years it’s going to look much more reasonable. He’s also 22 and averaged 19/7/5 in his first playoff series

Didn’t Barnes get the same contract?

The casuals are conveniently overlooking one major factor, which is Franz’s unique combination of youth (22 years old), proven productivity and potential.

I bet a few more people will understand why we paid him by the time the Olympics are over.

Yeah he deserves it over several of these players lmao.

Draymond is committing insurance fraud on GSW

He has a higher number of made up metric than these other players have of the same made up metric? Who cares
