Spurs Trade For DeAndre Ayton?
what’s going on everyone so Lori Market into the Spurs is still something that could be on the horizon now the kind of word is that the the Jazz are kind of cooled on potentially trading Lori Markin in um The Warriors put together a substantial package uh based on reports like a package that sounds like it was at least enticing for Lori marinin however you know it looks like the Jazz like they’re not super determined to trade them it’s just if they get that blow away offer it’s like okay fine we’ll move off of them and the Spurs I just I don’t think necessarily Lori marinin is the best for that and it’s like you’re probably going to have to trade Vel like probably have to give up some firsts just is it worth giving up everything that you’d have to give up to go get Lori Markin in I just I don’t think it is personally and I don’t think ultimately the Jazz are going to trade him but we’ll see time will tell again Spurs are still linked to Lori marinin I think if they can get him for what they deem as fair value they absolutely would right cuz the the beauty of Victor wanyama is he’s so versatile right and to add another versatile big like himself uh obviously Lori Markin is not Victor but in the sense of like he’s a seven-footer that can essentially play three through five and would slot in beautifully alongside Victor I think that that makes a lot of sense right because there is an argument to be made that okay you’re basically locked up at every position besides like either power forward or Center because of Victor wiama and then you could probably use an upgrade at the three but you just got Harrison Barnes at least momentarily so I think you’re okay you don’t need to rush in that regard right because you look at it right now right you have Chris Paul obviously but like let’s say just the the young guys right you have uh St uh Stefan Castle who is going to play the point you got Deon Vel who’s going to be the two right and then you got Victor wanyama Who is the the three now I know a lot of people are high on Zohan but I just personally I Like Him Off the Bench as that energy versatile guy at least right now I think he still is a little raw his decision making isn’t great at times I just I think you you keep him on the bench for now and if you can get a just upgrade at the power forward or Center position the beauty is you can move Victor to either one so if you can upgrade at power forward you can slide Victor to the five get an upgrade at Center you can slide Victor to the four right and now you’re in good shape and then right now you got Harrison Barnes momentarily until you can find a better three um you know a younger three that you can build up I know I people say like oh you know what about Kellin Johnson all the time but Kellin Johnson is getting traded at some point and he’s probably best for the Spurs Off the Bench as like just that vacuum score like just sixth man so again he’s another guy I like where he’s at now they do have a couple options right uh Harrison Ingram I think is probably going to be their answer at the three in the foreseeable future right I am very I actually like him a lot and thinks he is a very good like Spurs type player so again kind of default to like the four or the five so what if the Spurs go and inquire at least about DeAndre the Portland Trailblazers are in a very weird like they drafted Klean right they drafted Donovan Clan which you have Aon and on top of having Aon you also have Robert Williams which Robert Williams healthwise has always been a concern right so you know I get Robert Williams is probably best as a backup at this point but why draft Klean when you have eight it just it didn’t make sense because it’s like okay you neither guy spreads the floor neither guy is is a is a elite three-point shooter or a great floor stretching big both guys have very similar games and styles right aon’s good like he can knock down like the 15 in like he’s money 15 in but he’s not a guy that’s like taking five threes a game and is able to knock it down at like a even like a 36% clip right he’s more of like a low post threat um that can B with the big boys right but the I the problem with Aon is he can’t get out of his own way right like with Phoenix it’s just like he he he believes he’s the Superstar and it’s like well you’re not right like but I think the potential is there not necessarily to be a superstar but I think he could be a 23 and 11 or 23 and 12 guy like legitimately game in and game out consistently I like I just think one I think he needs the right culture the right structure and I think he needs people that can get in his in his behind and and he’ll respect and like I just think you you look at the like the the problem is is that Aon and and Chris Paul didn’t really seem to get along right and the Spurs now have Chris Paul it’s like H but supposedly those were a little overblown his problem was with Monty Williams that him and Monty Williams didn’t really get alone that him and Chris Paul were fine so if that’s true then you know would he want to go back and play with Chris Paul and Chris Paul could kind of be your end to kind of get Aon um also like you saw the you saw the potential towards the end of the season with Portland right like he went on a tear towards the end of the season for Portland like the last like 10 games or whatever it was but it’s just again it’s that consistency and can get he’ get out of his own way but he’d have structure right organization is A1 in San Antonio you’d have a coach that’s not going to take his nonsense that I believe he would respect I mean it’s great papic he demands respect right you have CP3 so you have the familiarity you have the the just hey we were you know we were teammates before right and I had my best time with him so right because the idea was that okay he’s going to go to Portland oh man this guy’s going to be a 25 and 15 guy and he wasn’t anywhere close to that right like he just and again I I just think a lot of it is he just his his lack of just keeping his cool right like the Phoenix Sun’s best course of action was to keep Chris Paul and DeAndre right don’t trade BR for Bradley Beal keep Aon keep Chris Paul because then you would have had a true point guard alongside um Devin Booker and Kevin Durant and then you also would have had DeAndre Aon who could rebound and you know basically do a little bit of everything for you right I I just think that that was the better approach and of course the Phoenix Suns were like o Bradley Beal and they went and traded him and it’s just like Aon I just I think if he just gets in the right spot right I think Aon alongside Victor whama would give you quite the onew punch talk about a legit big man guy that can bang with the big boys would take pressure off Victor um you know be a guy that but but the thing is again is Aon has to be willing to buy in Aon has to be willing to to commit and do what is necessary cuz if he go if he’s thinking like oh I need I want my 15 attempts per game or whatever and I’m this and I’m that and like yeah wi’s great but like dude I’m Aon type thing then no I think you should stay away from him but it’s just like the way I look at Aiden is he’s young enough to where he could be a real Foundation piece going forward right like I and and he I mean look he’s talented there’s no denying his talent right there there’s no like he is a guy that can go get you like I said I think I mean even last year he was basically 17 and 11 with two assists he can make plays out of the post you know he can he’s not like this Elite defensive guy but he can go get you you know a block and a steal of game he can hit he can hit his free throws which is good for a big fella he can you know go to the low post work the block hit the little elbow like like I said little 15 in and he’s money uh he’s he’s I think that the potential and upside is there and I think you add in Chris Paul right you add in like a hey this is a new start you’re with the Spurs organization Chris Paul already has built-in chemistry with him I don’t know I I think you can make it work I I think you know and then but the the the real question is just the price right like how much does Aon cost do you have to give up like two first and all stuff but like if you can essentially swap like Johnson like Kellin Johnson and like I don’t know uh protected first or something like give them one of the Min or the yeah what was it the Minnesota pics give him one of the Minnesota pics right can you do something like that and get eaten and it’s like there you go and now you got aen you or if you have to give up a little more right because the problem is like what is aton’s value right now right like his value might not be lower than it is than it is right now because if Aon does kind of ball out right like then his value is going to go up and I mean I don’t see him dropping much like even with Klean Klean probably didn’t come off the bench the first year right they’ll kind of ease him into it so I don’t know it’s just to me it’s like if you can go get I think Aon can be a legit 2 T guy especially alongside Victor and the rest of the team and I think if you could get that so you’d have like say Chris Paul Vel Barnes wimy and Aon and then you have you know so on uh you probably still have Collins right you have Stefan Castle coming off the bench for just you know just year one like I said right so that way you know he he there’s not the pressure and he can kind of ease into it and take his time I don’t know I just I really like the idea of bringing in a guy like eight and he might be cheap it’s just can he get out of his own way but anyway as always this is a discussion I pass a question on you let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below what do you think how do you feel what are your thoughts do you like the idea of bringing IND DeAndre Aon do The San Antonio Spurs are still active on the NBA Trade front. Spurs are linked to a Lauri Markkanen Trade and with the versatility of Victor Wembanyama you can get another big man. The Portland Trailblazers have Too many centers and are likely in a need to trade one. Spurs Trade For DeAndre Ayton could work for both teams.

If Spurs play it smart, they will be a dynasty.
No thanks to ayton. Ayton is a terrible locker room guy. Spurs do not want ayton
Why would spurs make that trade. Deandre ayton needs the ball. Devin vessel, wemby, castle
I don't want Lori markeken hes injury pron. U gotta give up to many first round picks, max contract. For player thats not all star noooooooo!!
Hmmmm trade dont sound bad doe
PASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!! If we give up our GEMs of 2 – 1st rd top ten picks for 2025 im going to LOSE MY SHYT!!!!! No we should keep fleecing teams that need US MORE we can use Barnes to trade up for him lol !!!!
Ayton is better rebounder and defensive player than Lauri, younger too…
Too much work to get him going, pass!! Spurs don't need to carry no stubborn mule.
Nobody want ayton
Ayton, so far, hasn't shown that his attitude isn't a good fit for the Spurs. Also, he wanted more touches when he was with the Suns. He won't be getting that with Wemby on the Spurs.
Pass
Prefiro esperar 1 temporada e escolher o rocco da Austrália.
Pivô gigante e móvel que o pick1 da vergonha
Lord no…….
Pop and CP3 would eat Ayton for lunch! They'd have him crying like KG did Big Baby Davis!
I doubt the spurs want Ayton unless it's for next to nothing. The whole league knows Ayton could be a 20/10 night in and night out kind of dude but the whole league also knows you can't trust him to stay focused and consistent over time, or "out of his own way" like you put it. Maybe it's just a maturity thing he needs to overcome, but he does need to overcome it in order to have any real value to a contender or aspiring contender. Maybe pop ripping him a new asshole is exactly what Ayton needs but pop is also too damn old to want to deal with extra bullshit so personally I don't think the spurs want him enough, and I think Portland wants him to increase his value a little from where he is now before they flip him…
He gave up on the suns while they had a chance at a championship. But at the same time he is pretty cheap for what players are getting now
Not even gonna give the courtesy of a watch on this video. Hard pass on Ayton. Doesn't understand his value and don't want a front row seat for it when he comes to the realization that he is just role player.
A TRADE FOR BOLBOL, & BEN SIMMONS!!!
WE WILL NNNEEEVVVEEERRR LOOSE!!!
nooooo
I have being seem in many places saying that Spurs don't wanna hit the cap space, and they are pretty close to it, I think for this season this is it… and as Spurs fan, I think it's pretty good as it is… I don't believe that Lauri would make the team a title contender right away, so it's better wait and grom up the team step by step, Sohan and Wemby are improving fast, Vessel is yet to hit his technical peak. I do believe that this team has a lot to show yet… no need to rush things…
Ayton for 34M$ per season to get a center as Wemby is much better in this position ? Completely nosense… (even not speaking about the Ayton behavior on the court).
Ideally, to stepup, the Spurs needs a PF with good defense and high percentage at 3 (to give Wemby space in the paint) or a very high skilled SF (such as Durant) who can shoot 3.
The Spurs also need some good rotation players in the frontcourt (Center and Power Forward) which is not the case today.
PG is ok this year with Castle (to be developped) and Paul.
SG is ok this year with Vassel and Branham.
SF is ok this year with Barnes and Johnson.
PF is ok this year with Sochan but no rotation (only Mamu if he comes back. Hope so because he did good job to fill in this lack in April 2024).
Center is more than ok with Wemby but the backup (Collins) doesn't match the way San Antonio is playing. The Spurs needs a old vet who is rim protector (very good defense and catch rebonds) to play less than 20mn per game when Wemby out. Zach Collins should be traded.
spurs must try kai sotto!…you'll how he plays and tandem with Wemby at low cost, high reward but effective…
yu must be bored—yu need a little endorphin snap with your fantasies
Ayton is too passive to make sense on the Spurs
Bruh Johnson is way better
Albany ga ray Charles home town in here, at this point under popavixh they gone listen to em,,, learn change der game how they play we top 3 in the western conference
Wemby at the three? He is a five, period! You don’t seem to have knowledge of the Spurs. And Harrison Ingram won’t make the team.
I honestly don’t see any big moves by the spurs the rest of this off season.
Any Spurs fan would know that Ayton's character/attitude and mentality will not fit in with our culture. Really terrible take this is lol
As a suns fan who as of now had “prime” ayton. Y’all don’t want him trust me the only reason I can respect him is bc of his game winning alley oop but other than that all he’s gonna bring you is mid inside scoring, bad rebounding for his size, and bad defense for his size too. Also idk if ayton would get along with cp3 anymore
Here u guys go again. THIRSTY FOR A TRADE, nooo wee dont want a guy who dates prnstars no thankssss
What do you base your, "Keldon Johnson is getting traded sometime" on? Is it just your opinion? You've heard a lot of rumors? Or do you have some solid information?
If we wanted a legit centre we would’ve drafted edey
Noooo please no
That's a helllllll naaahh for me respectfully
Adding too much pieces right now might lessen the effectiveness that CP3 will bring to the table.. I do think that Keldon should go because of his attitude last season. He's too expensive to come out of the bench and show attitudes. Manu still produced a lot as bench player even at old age before he retired.
