Phoenix Suns Sign Monté Morris My Thoughts!!
yo what’s going on guys this Houston Sports Talk Back another video day and today the Phoenix Suns have signed Monte Morris point guard from the Minnesota tempol and the Detroit Pistons this year he due to injury he did not play often played 33 games 14.4 minutes per game five points per game with 2.1 assist per game uh nearly one steal per game he’s a very good three-point shooter who shot 39% in his career and and I gotta say um you know Monte Morris who obviously hasn’t you know shot uh or you know hasn’t played well in the last season uh due to you know injuries and you know not a lot of minutes as well low lowest minutes he’s ever had since his rookie season in his rookie season he only played three games and had eight minutes per game and this past season with Detroit and Minnesota in 33 games only averaged 14 minutes per game 14.4 that’s the lowest since his rookie season and then if you look after his rookie season the lowest after his rookie season is 201920 season with 22.4 minutes per game the suns are looking for a true point guard it’s been said that all off season the suns are looking to sign a true point guard and Monte Morris is a true point guard I want to go over what he did in the 2022 23 season as the Washington Wizards starter that’s that’s also something I should have mentioned I didn’t even think about um he played with Bradley Beal in Washington they were they were the they were the backourt for um Washington in the 2021 sorry 2022 23 season 62 games 61 starts 27 minutes per game with Washington that year playing alongside Bradley Beal he averaged 2.3 points per game he averaged 5.3 assists per game one steel per game 3.4 rebounds per game from three with Washington he shot 38.2% 2021 22 season with the Denver Nuggets he was their starting point guard because Jamal in Jamal Murray was still in and still recovering from his torn ACL so in the 2021-22 season while Jamal was recovering he was their point guard 75 games 74 starts 30 minutes per game shot 48% from the floor 40% from three on 4.2 attempts average 13 points per game he averaged 4.4 assists per game one steal per game three rebounds per game so Monte Morris is a good Defender uh he is not just a good Defender but he’s also a good three-point shooter and he’s a very solid point guard a true point guard and that’s something the Suns really need let me know your thoughts on the signing for the suns in the comment section and peace out
