The Heat’s projected rotation for next season: Starters = Terry Rozier, Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Jovic, Bam Adebayo Second Unit = Josh Richardson, Duncan Robinson, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Haywood Highsmith, Kel’el Ware A big bet from Miami on their young core taking leaps.

Surely *this* will be the year of the big leap

  2. I’m curious if Terry or Tyler come out first and which one plays with the second unit as the guard. Teams don’t really have a second unit as subs are usually blended.

Kevin Love will obviously be the backup 5. I imagine Kel’el will get the Niko treatment and spend a season mostly in the G League.

Tyler herro needs to come off the bench and let dunc get that starter role

  5. How many games Herro will play this season? Can we reach 42 games atleast?

Not one player on the squad who isn’t a hooper

This is at best a 6th seed, and likely closer to the 9th seed.

  8. Larsson will find his way into the rotation at some point, even if it will take extended time at Sioux Falls.

Terry and Tyler should not be starting together man smh

Tyler running the second unit and Duncan in the starting rotation would be more legit

Allowing JRich to play the 2 which is his position

So this is it huh? Another play in coming up.

I really have a strong feeling that Miami starts ware next to bam by midseason the latest

If healthy , which appears to be a big if, this team can win 50 games I believe

Tyler’s improvements these past offseasons have been in accordance to the kind of player Tyler wants to be i.e. Devin Booker. I can respect that but if he’s smart, this offseason, he’ll ask Drew Hanlan to help him work on more off-ball skills e.g. quicker release, quicker reads, scoring off screens, creating shots for himself etc. We have a lot of playmakers and we need some of them to actually finish plays. The starting and closing units needs a guard that comes off screens looking to shoot. If he wants to run pick and roll and drive to the hoop, make pocket passes and stuff like that, he’ll have to go to the second unit.

Terry isn’t losing minutes to Duncan because he can play defence, so if Tyler wants to close games, he needs to add the kind of value to his game that the team needs. Be more Duncan/Klay -like.

Also he needs to reallocate some of the time with the skills coach to time with a strength coach

I have a feeling Justise Winslow is also going to take a BIG leap this season

If we can get him at a decent enough price; I think the only real upgrade option left is Lauri Markkanen. At this point, it just seems like we are doing “the definition of insanity” bit from Far Cry 3. Hopefully I’m wrong and Pat Riley reminds everyone why he is called “The Godfather”. If not, might as well start calling him “Stand Pat” Riley.

this roster gives me 2003-2004 vibes with Caron, rookie Wade and co. that was a FUN team. problem is Jimmy has no time for a fun team as his window is closing.

I think 52-30 is not out of the question if we stay relatively healthy.

  19. Wrap this team in bubble wrap and give them free stem cell therapy sessions.

I’d move Duncan into the starting 2 and having Herro run the second unit (effectively his 6moty year role), but I’d also want Jaime to have Jimmy’s usage.

Herro is literally my 5th option of that starting unit that I would want the ball in his hand as a facilitator, but I just don’t think that is likely to happen.

    I’m here for more Jovic.
