[@esidery] The Suns are in talks with Kyle Lowry, per @GeraldBourguet. Lowry could be deciding between a return to the Sixers or leaving for Phoenix. The 38-year-old point guard averaged 8.1 points and 4.2 assists while shooting 39.2% on threes.

Do the suns have the possibility to pay him more than the vet. minimum?

  2. BassGuru82

Man… I really hope we can get him back. Going to be really hard to find a better option on a vet minimum.

Sounds like a negotiation tactic after Caleb Martin’s comments. Probably wants the rest of the remaining MLE and guaranteed playing time.

Feels like a golf decision. PG and Caleb start working the phones.

Suns are a dumpster fire with no assets and what might now be the single worst contract in the sport. Assuming both offers are the vet min I can’t possibly see why he’d pick them over staying home under Nurse in philly

  6. I can’t be the only one who’s ok with him walking.

he’s essentially choosing between the minimum here and the minimum with the suns. seems like it’s just up to him. he likes playing for nurse and seemed to like the balance of playing time and the input he’s earned on the bench due to winning a chip with nurse. he can continue to play an important playmaking role and have an easy avenue towards a coaching role in his hometown with a coach he’s got ties to. dont really get the hesitation but it is what it is.

I would like to see Lowry come back, but I also wouldn’t mind Ty jones or dsj. I think they all provide about the same level production and even if it is in a different way.

What I would really like to see is Ben Simmons get bought out and him come back. That’s the perfect fit. Oddly enough.

Please let him go to the suns I’ll take terry Johnson over Kyle he’s good but he’s old

  10. PhatYeeter

But who will nurse play 10 minutes too many now?

I think there’s something to this. My coworker grew up with and is good friends with Kyle Lowry’s brother(and yet is a Celtics fan, disgusting work). He told me Lowry was really looking at Phoenix last year. Not really sure why though.

Edit: if he really leaves his hometown team and a coach he’s won with without it even being for more money, fuck him.

All his lazy ass passes at the end of playoff games have been seared into my brain.

I know there are other options, but man I’d really like seeing a hometown guy win a title with us

  14. Moheezy__3

If Lowry really wants to contend, he should come back. The Suns aren’t going anywhere.

I’d rather just play McCain and get a buyout guy at the deadline if need be

Too many Maxey/Lowry minutes when we suck at team rebounding

I really don’t think Lowry is that big of a loss. He has never prioritized playing in Philly before. Don’t see why would we want him now.
