Kemba Walker Retires
Kemba Walker announced his retirement after 12 seasons in the league on Tuesday on a national championship at Yukon and got the nickname cardak Kemba for his Legendary Run Through The Big E tournament that season before becoming The Hornet’s ninth overall pick in the 2011 Draft Walker was a four-time All-Star SMI the bulk of his career in Charlotte and is the Hornets alltime time leader in points minutes field goals and threes if he will now be joining the Hornets staff as an assistant coach J ke smoke congrats K he was one of those guards man that was really really talented obvious ly he played on the team that didn’t have coverage right uh very Shifty can knew how to score fast he was a legit star guard he just played in Charlotte which nobody really got to see him like that but you when you went through and you had to guard him you knew it was problems at nights know it’s great that you know he got to play of you know his his career route his his dream and now he gets to retire and go to that next level which is uh coaching
The Gil’s Arena crew discusses the LEGENDARY NBA Career of Kemba Walker as he enters his retirement. After being drafted to the Charlotte Hornets’ 9th overall he led their franchise in scoring, minutes played, 3-pointers, and Field goal percentage. Gilbert Arenas says he was a legit star guard, but playing in charlotte stunted his ability to be a mega star in the NBA. Shoutout to Kemba Walker on his retirement he was a shifty, amazing basketball player who will enter the next phase in coaching as an assistant with the Hornets.

Charlotte native right here💯🤘🏾…know im rocking wit KEMBA
Congratulations kemba
Oh noooo he has no experience
I wished he could’ve played his whole career at home in NYC
Retire that mans jersey. Uconn should retire it as well.
This just made me think of a kid I knew since he was about 8 . And really look at Bronny again in a different light . Roscoe was on the National championship team with him , went to UNLV after that . Was never bigger than G League.and I believe a local legend Cassell helped him get there . But he isn't much different than Bronny
We love you kemba and wish you the best in your next journey of life after the NBA he will make a good assistant coach and probably head coach one day he definitely a student of the game
Kemba was criminally underrated unless you really follow ball
He had no help his entire career. He should have left the Hornets in his prime to a contender. He's one of many former players that should have at least 1 ring.CONGRATS on retirement.!
Damn man. That was one dude I wanted Miami to scoop when we had cats like Tyler Johnson. Big Up to Kemba! Sad to see it play out at the end the way it did.
One of my favorite guards growing up. Man was fun to watch fr
One of the few players I knew who were both good in college and the pros. Seen him being a lil better as a pro but he was still good regardless and because of his run in the ncaa is a no doubt hall of famer
Super overrated
Jordan showed his lack of basketball IQ by not building the right team around him
He still plays?
🔥🔥🔥
Charlotte ruined his career fr…..
Should be the all-time assists record holder in Charlotte, but they combined the original hornets lineage with the bobcats/hornets

Man ngl I swear that Uconn run will never be duplicated Kemba was so promising I just knew he was gone get a ring
Yea, back in the day is was really hard to see all times. I watched the NBA all the time and living on the east coast I could see the Lakers, but I dont even think I seen a Kings game until my 20s. Hornets weren’t that good so could see them either. If they wasnt playing the bulls… 🤷🏿♂️
The Hornets failed that man. Malik Monk might be the best he played with lol
As a Louisville native and a UofL fan, this man use to torture us.
🫡to Kemba!!! What a awesome college🏀 career and getting the opportunity to live out his dream in making it to the NBA. Playing 12 seasons is a blessing!!!
Just a kid from soundview projects shoutout and salute to my guy 💪🏾💪🏾
JJ Reddick needs to take some notes👀
One of the fastest and quickest players I ever seen play with my own two eyes…Pace was just different
The best NCAA run EVER! Salute to Kemba.
