Keshad Johnson Postgame Interview | Miami HEAT vs. Los Angeles Lakers | July 10, 2024

you went in the full bag today a little bit a lot of times guys like you who are known to such good Defenders everyone tries to sort of put the he’s a three and D guy but you seem to be a lot of stuff and D guy how important is it for you to show people that just don’t sort of put your game in a box on the offensive end um I just try to do whatever it whatever it takes to win you know um I don’t like going outside the box but um you know I I feel like uh me I’m I’m Raw I feel like I got a raw town you know um feel like it’s still a lot of stuff that’s that’s um unscratched so you know you see glimpse of me just doing stuff from from instinctual you know so that’s just uh what the game provider today you know um just doing things that I know I’m capable of and everything uh that I haven’t really showcase throughout my whole college career you know and just with the time of getting NBA development I just keep getting better as a player overall you know a lot of guys I heard your postgame interview don’t get to play a lot of home games in summer league you had even though fans weren’t allowed you had your fans and your family there today now you’re going to Vegas where you said you had a lot of success in school also what’s it been like for you that you know for a lot of guys it’s sort of tough to play in Summer League it’s so unique but to have your family there and especially on a game when no fans but yeah bring the crowd down what’s that like for you one thing about the Johnson family man they gonna find a way they gonna find a way uh they told us was no fans allow but I guess that was an exclusion for family because everybody that came you know they came and it was loud you know in The Empty Arena so we all heard it you know we uh got the momentum from from the uh home Oakland crowd you know uh felt like a home game you know it is a home game deep down the spears so you know uh my family they heat culture now well you know I want to finish up with that because everyone will come in here and saying this is the place I want to be I want to be part of Heath culture but you really seem to be eating it up like it really seems like you really do fit the role and the role model they want here can just be honest when you first said that when they signed you I’d assume you would say that of any team that signed you but are you really finding that hey this really is a nice little fit I mean uh throughout the whole process you know of doing pre-draft work and everything like that uh you know me and my agent was talking like just team that we like you know how you how you supposed to talk with agent and he culture I’m I’m a I’m a he culture guy you know um so just through all my my uh career I just want to keep um making an emphasis that I’m willing to do everything that I’m gritty you know I just I just want that to be my my identity you know uh and with with that being said I just want to make an example of how much of a heat culture guy that I am I really mean it when I when I say that you know uh I like to say me spending four years at San Diego State really prepared me for for this opportunity you know and I wasn’t drafted but everything worked out for the best you know as I as I prayed I landed in the right spot I feel like

  1. Damn. I don't think there is an available roster spot unfortunately. I saw something about not being able to exceed 14 players because of the salary cap. But this dude should be getting minutes in the NBA. Not the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Hell send Thomas Bryant to the G League. Lol
