This NEEDS to stop…

This NEEDS to stop…

this needs to stop as there’s been a ton of reports about Brandon Ingram getting traded from the New Orleans Pelicans and now rumors are escalating about the Toronto Raptors being linked in some of these trade packages and while Brandon Ingram is an awesome basketball player a great fit these rumors need to stop as they make zero sense for the Toronto Raptors and if the Raptors go through with this I’m going to be right at Bobby Webster Messiah U Jeri’s doorstep yelling what’s going on here what decisions had to be made in order for this to go down and as I mentioned this is not because Brandon Ingram is a poor basketball player we’ll dive into who he is as a guy and a player and stuff that could come in and fit for the Toronto Raptors but in terms of roster Construction in terms of all the moves we’ve made over the past year why this makes zero sense for the team right now we’ll also talk about Team Canada losing to Team USA last night in a in a brutal watch a brutal game especially late at night so lots of stuff to dive into but folks again if you want to stay up to date with everything regarding the trono Raptors team we just hit 35,000 subscribers with still about 90 uh 90 49 % of you guys that haven’t hit the Subscribe button just yet I mean you guys have been crushing it hitting that sub button we’re getting tons of new audience over the course of this offseason so mean the world to me if you guys could hit that sub button so you don’t miss a single thing this off season but let’s dive into the news let’s dive into what’s going on because frankly this has to stop and there’s been a lot of uh chatter Buzz DMS I’ve been receiving about Brandon Ingram coming to the Toronto Raptors now these rumors started circulating about a month ago when a report came out from clutch points that started circulating that linked the Toronto Raptors to Brandon Ingram I didn’t even cover it because frankly I just feel like this makes zero sense for the team but bring it up here now because they’re starting to come back around essentially this is coming from clutch points that Brandon Ingram now becomes the focal point of discussions Ingram is entering the final year of his contract and has been made available for a trade at 26 years old there’s still a lot to like about Ingram’s Game and his ability to be a primary scoring option however very few teams have shown legitimate interest at this time in Pelicans forward that is likely to change once free agency begins to take shape the Jazz have internally discussed the possibility of pursuing Ingram this off season and as will the Sixers if they are unable to land George they end up Landing George so they’re knocked out of the discussions and two teams are viewed as Darkhorse destinations for Brandon Ingram are the Sacramento Kings as well as the Toronto Raptors now the Kings could be written off this list given the fact they just picked up Demar Rose and they’re in a little bit of a cap situation self here now at this point but that leaves kind of the Jazz and Ingram in terms of people in this list of teams that were brought up in this clutch points report that are left on the table for potential traits now again this is rumors this is clutch points this is Chatter this is not wo chams any of these people coming out so this is why the rumors are escalating you know discussed brought up and only fuel was added to the fire yesterday for a guy if you’re familiar with NBA Twitter you know him probably well because his tweets get a ton of likes a ton of recognition he is a Bucks beat reporter but he has these weirdly worded tweets that just get a lot of traction out there on social media basically he came out and said Jake Weinbach said that the Raptors are a team that could fly under the radar as Brandon Ingram Suitor if Toronto is motivated to add Ingram to a core of klickly Barrett and Barnes they could build the trade package around Bruce Brown another rotation player and draft compensation so this is the tweet that really sparked things that got every everybody fired up over the past couple days and the reason that I’m been sent this stuff and kind of forced to make a video on it here now at this point because again people see that they see an NBA Insider at least for the Milwaukee Bucks but he does a lot of these tweets that are worded along those lines hey this could be a thing this is whatever right the the word language so he’s completely in the clear if it never happens but he can get people going get the followers get the interactions so I respect the Hustle but it’s getting sent this way and I’m shutting this stuff down right from the jum frankly it makes no sense with the team yes Ingram’s great we slot him in in a vacuum it’d be a cool fit 21 points per game five rebounds a solid facilitator as well you know at that Wing forward uh position you know shoots 36% from the three-point line he’s a smooth silky scorer and he’s only 26 years old so not that much older than Scotty Barnes despite the fact it felt like he’s in the league for a very long time he’s a former All-Star shoots 36% in corner three so a good shooter a good bucket getter you know it’s uh Brandon Ingram why wouldn’t he fit we have a bit of a hole at the power forward position him and Scotty can kind of combin combine at that you know forward Tandem and then have RJ and Emanuel quickly the guard slots and then we just have a well constructed roster for this team moving forward so Ben why would it make sense there’s little buzz little chatter why are you writing this off as something that just could never happen should never happen will never happen well why on Earth okay would the Toronto Raptors deal away not be willing to pay Pascal cakam if they’re just going to turn around and trade for a guy as a worst Defender a worse fit for the team not ingrained in Raptor’s culture the same way Pascal cakam was why on Earth would they go through the hassle the Heartbreak all the drama of trading away spicy P who plays the same pretty well position is a little bit less solid of a shooter but otherwise is a better fit for this Toronto Raptors team why on Earth would we go through all that just to turn around and trade our draft compensation to pick up Brandon Ingram and then give him a contract that is going to ruin our flexibility be a worse value contract for the team moving forward to the future why would we do that it makes zero zero cense and while again I was on board with trying to keep spicy PE CU I don’t think this Raptor team wants to tank and blow things up whatever I really like the potential core of IQ RJ Barrett Scotty Barnes spicy P whatever Center you kind of have out there rocking it is what it is I like that idea so Ingram coming in might fit that idea so it might be just you know a bit hypocritical for me to just write off Brandon Ingram as a potential trade piece potential trade Target for the Toronto Raptors but you know what out of principle out of just disappointment at the torona Raptors go through all those trads deal away Pascal cakam on a contra like for a deal that is below market value spicy people who wanted to be here wanted to stay in Toronto was bought in the championship here to go through all that to give up that draft compensation Bruce Brown essentially the deal that buddy brought up you know in that report to go and get Brandon Ingram on principle I am against that trade happening I get sun cost you can’t look at the past whatever no I will not be happy if that deal goes down I would be very very disappointed in us in our decision- making to trade away spicy P at that point but and again the Raptors are moving in a New Direction they’re going younger and we see how like handcuffed teams are now at this point with this new cap situation the stuff that’s going on paying high players and like Brandon Ingram yes he’s a quality scorer quality basketball player but we have a lot of money tied up into the future where it just wouldn’t make sense wouldn’t make any sense to me for this deal to end up going through so I don’t know let me know if you guys agree in the comments section down below but I was I’m mad seeing those reports pop up especially my guy SP top getting traded but uh in more news to to get me fired up to get me disappointed and why I might sound like there’s a little bit of lack of energy on this video because I stayed up till 2:30 in the morning 3:00 a.m. new land time last night to watch Team Canada play out there in Vegas one of the smoking my mic there now too it’s a wild video here at this point but I stayed up 2:30 newf land time I wanted to watch Team Canada have a little run there one of the longest halftimes I’ve ever seen in a basketball game as well maybe that’s just because I was tired and didn’t have any actual temporal back trees there but and Team Canada comes out has an exciting first quarter I’m amped up I’m excited and then we just see us kind of Get Smoked by the US which just sucks to see I mean we can bring up the stats here now at this point you know pressing the wrong buttons but basically you know the front line of the Team USA absolutely rocked ours like Joel embiid Anthony Davis bamama too really had their way on the boards you know getting some rebounds you blocking a few shots here and there especially Anthony Davis we got out matched in terms of uh the defensive end just trying to stop those big guys coming into the lane and stuff the rebounding is watch in the game is something that killed us there at this point you know I thought we did a really good job otherwise you know on the defensive end but when you don’t have your Zach Edy when you don’t have even your Andrew Wiggins who’s a mobile kind of forward Defender the the team Canada is pretty thin on the front line so that was tough to see and frankly just shots didn’t fall shots did not fall for Team Canada there last night J gildas Alexander was one of six from the field you know two from two points and then two four from the three-point line but uh we were missing shots nikel Alexander Walker Andrew nehar Trey ly Lou Dort only won three made and on 12 attempts you know Jamal Murray went one to five as well only five points in that game again this was an exhibition so I’m not too too worried for Team Canada moving forward and I think if we hit a few more of those shots we probably win this game in fact so I really like the the offense the style of basketball that Jordi Fernandez was implementing on this team Canada group it looked like there was a lot of chemistry but there were two problems and one three-point shot were not going down I trust Jamal Murray I trust sh gild I trust guys to to turn things especially Andrew neart the way he was playing the playoffs those to start hitting you know come Olympic season but uh I like the style of basketball we’re playing on the offensive end I don’t think offense is going to be a big issue for Team Canada moving forward I don’t think our perimeter oriented defense is going to be a problem either it’s just can we rebound can we really be effective you know in that paint protecting the baset Kelly oen I thought did a good job good enough job you know given his size athleticism and stuff and just the dominant presidents of embiid and Anthony Davis and these types of guys on the other end but uh it’s it’s something a few concerns were arise when you lose to uh Team USA in I don’t want to say hand of the fashion but it is what it is also you know the scrub brothers are there they’re not actually on the full out roster in teams the team that’s going to the Olympics from everything I’ve seen they’re just there for the exhibition there’s a few Canada guys that were in training camp that got some run in this game there’s a random guy in the USA too that’s not in the NBA I don’t believe that uh was just out there playing with LeBron James Steph Curry I think his name is Potter that was that was pretty crazy thing to see maybe I missed on the broadcast and stuff but I don’t know Team Canada disappointing start not a lot of three-point shooting hitting but watching the game I like the offense they running we’ll get a as we get more of a sample size we’ll definitely be sinking our teeth more into Team Canada basketball action but let me know what you guys think about all this in the comments section down below you guys the best thing of this are subscribe the channel if you guys haven’t already I’m signing out cheers

  1. Why's everyone so hard on Brandon he's an amazing player we could use the small forward and would be so lucky to have him he's a walking bucket

  2. Team USA has zero class. Ramping up the showboating is unnecessary. Curry is so freakin' immature. Same with Edwards. USA was lucky Canada wasn't dropping the threes.

  3. I'm a raptors Homer and didn't like siakim trade either, but if u can get BI for brown, boucher and pick/s especially if u can resign him for sure, u have to make that trade. Sorry about your feelings but you'd be mad to not do that and 100% emotional. If u can get him and resign it's a lock.

  4. Your entire Ingram vs Siakam argument just isn't true and seriously flawed. Ingram is 4 years younger than Pascal and would be a very nice fit in a starting lineup with Poeltl, Barnes, RJ and IQ. Plus he is a 80% plus ft shooter who can create his own shots. Who cares about flexibility? It's about building a competitive team… how many points has flexibility scored? It wouldn't make sense to you but it makes sense to me. Trade Brown, Boucher, S&T GTJ for BI and filler… Vegas summer league get it done!!!

  5. Edey would have made the difference on the rebounding. Can't believe he didn't show. Even Chris "not interested" Boucher.

  6. I disagree. Ingram would actually be a better fit next to Barnes than Pascal was. It’s not that Pascal isn’t a good player but the fit with him and Barnes just didn’t work and the Raptors knew this. We didn’t just let pascal go because we didn’t want to pay him. The Raptors knew him or Barnes had to go because they didn’t fit as a pair so they went with the younger player and decided to rebuild. What make’s Ingram a better fit is his ability to shoot the ball especially from 3 which Pascal was never really good at. A core of Barnes, Ingram, Quickley and RJ is a damn good core. Getting Ingram make’s a lot of sense in terms of fit. Sure you can look at it and say the Raptors could have just paid Pascal but what’s the point if the fit isn’t right ? People ignore fit when talking about building teams. The pascal,Barnes pairing was just not a good fit. Good individual players but together they just didn’t fit. Trading for ingram makes this team competitive again right now. A starting 5 of Quickley,RJ, Barnes, Ingram and Jakob is a playoff team and could be a top 5 team in the East with teams like the Bucks starting to age.

  7. Raptors is not looking at BI. Raptors is being used to raise BI value on the market. Basically, suggesting there is a bidding war.

  8. If we are trading Bruce Brown like to see a 1 year salary to come back and Bruce Brown is a upgrade for a team but then get draft compensation or a younger player back with a good upside that maybe has not broken into a team yet. My dream would be to take salary from Golden state and get Moses Moody. Whatever you have to do to get Moody I would do, I think he is the most underappreciated player in the league

  9. BI is a scoring small forward, very different from Pascal who is a Power forward. Bi would make us competitive and push RJ to the shooting guard. I like the idea! Especially if it just B.Brown and little draft compensation.

  10. I wouldn't be surprised massai make this trade everything massai does doesn't make sense we really need a better Front Office. 😂

  11. Just because something makes no sense doesn’t mean Masai and Bobby won’t be sucked into it! The Poeltl fiasco made no sense (paying for a player available for nothing in free agency)!

  12. The more i think of it i want to point out BI is 26 pascal is 30. Thats why masai couldnt resign him. BI is essentially demar derozen in his prime with 3 pt shooting range. Ben re-think your stance and get out of your feelings.

  13. We need to add more high role players to BBQ and help them elevate. The problem is you are looking at too much draft assets 3+ first 🤮🤮🤮

  14. I would love Ingram – to answer your question why?
..because he would excel this team, championship potential by next season, deep play-off run potential this year. IQ, RJ (guards), BI and Scottie (forwards) with Jak – that's a dirty 5. Trading for Ingram would excel this team 3+ years into the future. We could tank this whole year and might not draft a guy as good as Ingram – or if he is as good, waiting 3-4 years for him to be where Ingram is today.
Your assessment of him vs. Pascal is off – and one of the most important things you didn't mention in your evaluation, Ingram plays off the ball much much better. Doesn't need to have it in hands insisting on one on one's – more of a team player. Also, cap is going up again after this season, so your "flexibility" argument (which lacked any support) is null.
Boston won this season off of four main guys (Brown/Tatum/Holiday/White) the rest of the team were average helpers – Ports and Horford were their tipping point, aging helpers, like our Ibaka and Gasol with the Championship team. Raps can find two aging helpers in the next 18 months, or build a stronger bench. The 4 core would be tough! Ingram is worth a two future lower end firsts, BB and lets say Boucher – its actually a steal! – if Ingram is a Raptor this season, they will be in the play-offs.

  15. I love BI, but this trade wouldn't make any sense because we're not championship contenders and he's going to be gone after a year. We wouldn't be able to afford him after that. But I do like his fit on the team otherwise!

  16. You glazed Gary, now you bash possible upgrades.
    5:00 for Ben's argument.

You disagree on 'principle'. Bruh. Move on.

    Raptors need skilled shooting.

  17. Id take him in a heartbeat. He is being under utilized in new Orleans he can easily average 25 s game when hrakthy.

  18. I would say that the Raptors are always in talks with free agents and big name plans because Masai likes to weigh his options and see what the market is like. To be fair, yes, BI is a worse defender than Pascal but, he is a better scorer, jumpshooter/midrange guy, better 3pt shooter (which we need) and is a better passer I believe as well. The main thing too, is BI is 2-3 years younger and hasn't hit his prime yet. We also will get his bid rights because he is still on contract (so if he doesn't fit or his defense is too bad, we could trade him for a lot because he is valuable).

Bad points for getting BI is that he will demand a lot of money later, bad defender, has injury history and the main thing, he would hinde4 the development of our younger guys. I think the only reason to trade for him, is to trade him later because we would get WAY more value back for him than Bruce Brown

  19. Raptors are literally tied to EVERY trade, and nothing happens. I am not holding my breath.

  20. Raptors are not trading any first round picks this year. This year is focused on development. This story is more about the Pelican want to trade him, and not alot of teams being a good fit. Brown, Boucher and 1 2nd. That is it, Pelican say they want more, Raptors say bye
