the man of the hour how we feeling I’m feeling good I didn’t know I was a man of hour but I’ll I mean as far as anybody that roots for orange and blue skies you’re the man of the hour uh I think social did a great job of capturing sort of the reaction of obviously your Nova teammates your tweets when you got the call what the first thing that went through your mind um probably couldn’t believe it happened that’s probably the biggest thing I was just like there’s no way like this is crazy like I literally my tweet like this is crazy like this is like that’s probably my real initial reaction so um but definitely excited though like really excited for the moment and you know being a Nick and playing in mg and all that so now that it’s settled in process is underway do you see this or what percentage should I say do you see of pressure versus privilege to now be a New York knck um I mean it’s said pressure is a privilege like it’s just it is what it is you just got to perform and play hard play well and you know be super detailed and TR Ed and um mentally tough all that so definitely excited I mean I don’t know what else what else you want more you know I think we’ve heard you discuss what you thought was going to happen on draft night a pick away from maybe being a Nick then it has come full circle but along the way Miguel you’ve played for a championship you’ve played for a team that was not contending for a championship you’ve had the extremes of an NBA experience yeah as you reflect now on this opportunity what have you learned to this point a lot just adversity you know like you said like being the worst team in the league my first year and then years later going competing for a championship and then um roles changing getting traded to whole another team um thinking I was never going to leave Phoenix in the first place so I was you know always looked at myself by as like a one team guy um getting traded role changing and have to adapt from that and grow from there and everything was great and then last year just roll still increase and not playing as well as you want it it’s just it’s life just up and downs that’s just it’s part of life everybody goes through it and um you know you don’t want to just always stay down you know you got to you know adjust from it and you know be ready to get through adversity and learn from it and um just trying to go up now our colleague Alan Han said that you are now the last infinity stone to make it got what joke has made you laugh probably the hardest in this process um probably something to do with Josh that’s he makes he that man is a he play around too much I just I just that’s all I got to say all right speaking of Josh and Jaylen they had different perceptions to the idea that you are a three and D guy Josh’s point of view was you got a deeper offensive bag than just that and Jaylen kind of questioned the defensive side of it all but to be reunited with those guys and know that they bring the the best out of you how much sweeter does it make this opportunity no it’s great you know it’s great for them Dante too like it’s just it’s great and just being excited to be on this team and you know everybody else with Julius OG you know Mitch you know I can name everybody deuce and everybody so um just excited just really excited and obviously all the talk is about the villain NOA guys and all that stuff but you know I look at everybody else and you know I like the team we have and only thing that makes a different about a Nova guys is I played a lot of years with them so it’s I know how they play you know I watch their games now and I know how they all play and know that’s it’s just second nature you know playing off those guys but just decided to be a Nick and you know everybody else on the team I think sometimes Mel in our conversations as Knicks fans as NBA fans fit sort of gets lost you look at skill set you look at um The rosters on paper but the camaraderie and the chemistry yeah as you reflect on all of your experiences and now this one what would you want fans to keep in mind when you talk about fit as far as chemistry yeah I mean just just knowing the guys like you said like no on Nova guys obviously then OG you know who else Mitch like close to Mitch is like close enough with Mitch know him really well every time I see him um it’s pretty much it just you know knowing a lot of guys already being here and knowing how close they were you know you know prior to me coming here so just trying to trying to add and join and you know beware everybody and get to know everybody more so it’s really cool this time when you hear the New York knck chance what do you think it’ll feel like um I’m going be on that side so you know it’ll be it’ll be good um just excited I know gets crazy MSG um I mean you could watching the playoffs and stuff just you know that atmosphere just hearing it I mean any home game they have or we have now um it’s dope so really excited fans are EXC to have you Mel thanks for the time of course thank you
