The Slovenian star stayed in Greece after his country's elimination from the Olympics at the hands of our national team and went to Mykonos for his summer vacation.
There, he even met Giannis Bourousis and took a selfie with him. In the photo, his good friend Jaka BlažiÄ, who did not participate in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament due to injury, is also present.

Hopefully he doesn’t gain 25 pounds living the high life. One of the things MJ said he did after the Pistons bounced him in the 1990 ECF was get right into the weight room, and simmer in his pain and failure all summer.

Funny to see BlažiÄ hanging out with Luka. I played streetball in Bled, Slovenia a lot in like 2005 and I played against him a couple of times. He grew up in that neck of woods. Already then he was considered up-and-coming talent and probable national team member and was probably 6’4” or 6’5” at 15. And super fluid and with great shot form, but not explosive. I was good on defense so I got to cover him a lot. I don’t know if he was holding back with driving and midrange, he was basically just shooting 3s and missing almost all of them.
All of this to say that this was the only time I played against someone who went on to play professional ball and I can claim I held my own š
He deserves a recovery beer or 10. Plenty of time before next season, hope he gets some much need R&R.
