Apparently this reporter works for the biggest basketball website in Lithuania and is a very respected reporter. Woj follows him on twitter too.
He’s also commonly cited on r/Euroleague

So i guess he’s not coming over?

Are you telling me I was scouring the internet for boxscores of lithuania olympic qualifying games for no god damn reason??

i think the plan is:
play hard in SL
if he doesn’t impress enough to earn a roster spot, he sees if any other teams want him and would offer a second for him.
if SL doesn’t go well, then zalgaris. it seems like he is over barca.

Why is this sub still sold on this guy? Genuine question. Even overseas his stats are nothing to be excited about and he’s only playing like 17 mpg. Does he just pass the eye test with flying colors? I’m much more hyped for Tyler Kolek.

Barcelona fan here. I know a lot of people is high on Rokas but he doesn’t have what it takes to play in NY, neither quality nor phisical.

Does NYK hold his rights indefinitely ?
Hes only 23, so I suppose in a macro sense its no big deal if he wants to stay overseas for another year ? And given JB/Duece/Kolek I guess I could understand him not feeling optimistic about getting to play.
I do wonder though if the Knicks believe he’ll be a rotation player for them at any point, or if they even think thats a realistic possibility.
All in all though, I guess the question is what does the org think they can get out of the asset, or is it more likely then not a sunk cost in their mind ?

In my mind this is not happening. Bring on Kolek!

The Knicks only have a few open roster spots available. Backup C is the biggest need, there are already two backup PGs on the roster and still another two rookies who have not signed. There’s a good chance there won’t be any room on the roster for Rokas, so ofc he’s got to have something planned should things not work out w the Knicks. There’s still a possibility he impresses and earns one of the final spots. Will just have to see.
dtgodmage23
At 23 he should already be in the league
Drab_Majesty
Krokus suck anyway
Pristine-Macaroon948

What a waste of a pick. This better not be what happens with pacome dadiet and hakiporti
