Like I’ve been saying, getting good role players is not easy, but Morey has been consistently able to do that during his time here.
What’s really hard is getting the right third star, and last season Tobias Harris was in that role. The team outside of Harris was actually really great ESPECIALLY considering that Morey was limiting himself to one year rentals because he wanted to sign George. Now that we don’t have that limitation (the rentals) because we already have the perfect third star (seriously, 41% on around eight threes a game!) he’s able to really cook!

I know for some reason people don’t like him, but I think he is just about the perfect fit at the 2. He can shoot and under nurse he has played really good team defense in the past.
If morey gets Trent, pg, Drummond, Martin, keeps pretty boy and Lowry, extends maxey, and still has all his draft assets and trade flexibility under the aprons with the Martin and McCain’s contracts this might be the best job I have seen a gm do in an offseason.
I think a lot of people on this sub owe morey some serious apologies for what they were saying right after the bridges trade.

Bruh… Maxey, Embiid, PG, Oubre, Caleb, Trent, Drummond, Lowry, Gordon, Ricky, Morris, KJ, McCain, Bona… if that’s the roster, that is simultaneously top heavy with Stars and deep as hell. And Morey put that together without trading a single pick??? Crazy.

I really liked him back on Portland (my west coast team), haven’t watched him much on the raptors. Would be a great get on the minimum.
