    Quick thoughts:

    1) Don’t care that Clowney fouled a lot. His rim protection was excellent.

    2) Still can’t believe the Big 12 Player of the Year dropped to 51 for us in 2023. Jalen Wilson is so well rounded and is just a pro.

    3) Rough game for Dariq but not worried, he’s very rusty and will need some time. Excited to see his next few games

Wilson went off, showed off a clutch gene I didn’t know he had.

Clowney showed great defense as always, even with the offense not coming to him as easily.

Keon’s game winner was hype, well-rounded game from him looking at the boxscore.

Whitehead was very concerning, it could be chalked up to a bad day or rust, but it’s concerning if it is something more

I was impressed by Gilyard, hadn’t seen him play before but he’s super quick and a good passer

Jalen Wilson is so polished already. Hope he gets big minutes this season.

Wilson doing what he does no surprise there.
    Same for Clowney.

    Johnson is a nice surprise.

Lack of Size & ball handling was always the Nets Achilles’ heel.

Who was backing up Gilyard? He had to play 35 of the 40 mins

Im surprised by Jaylen Martin stat line, I thought he was awful

Jalen Wilson was great in the 4th

Noah is not a 4 but he can’t play the 5

Whitehead is playing like someone returning from injury and avoiding contact, I still believe in him, I hope fans support him while he knocks this rust off.

  7. I’ll need one more game like this before I’m comfortable enough to call this a top-8 seed projection team

I really think Wilson can blossom into a quality role player like some other recent elite college players taken in the 2nd round (TJD, Dosunmu)

And with the extra playing time and development focus he’ll get this year, maybe he can even be more like a really good 3&D or a solid starter
