Putting All 30 NBA Teams Into Tiers

putting every NBA team into a tier after the off season let’s do it I know there are still some moves left to be made but I don’t think any of those moves will result in me moving any team up or down in this tier list so let’s get started with the favorites I’m going to go with the Boston Celtics starting off my tier list the Celtics are the only team in this tier they are favorites to win the NBA championship next season they just had a dominant postseason run they’re paying almost a billion dollars to keep this chord together and for good reason because this is the best starting five in the NBA Joe moula proved himself as one of the young brilliant coaches in the league and they have some really good depth I don’t see any team really matching the Celtics talent for talent so right now they are the number one favorite on to the next tier it is the contenders tier and I’m going to try to order this as best as I can there are a lot of contenders that I have here the first team I’m going to put up though is the OKC Thunder in the contender tier I think talent for talent they’re the team that matches up the best with the Boston Celtics they are just a more immature version of the Celtics they haven’t been battle tested as much but talent for talent they’re right up there the next team I’m going to put in the contenders tier are the Dallas Mavericks the Mavericks just had a great off season they brought in Klay Thompson Naji Marshall and quit and groms it really sucked to see Derek Jones Jr go but the Mavericks upgraded the roster and I think they will be better because of it next season the next team in my contenders tier is the team that made the Western Conference Finals it’s the Minnesota timber wolves Anthony Edwards is only going to get better at 22 years old he led the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals and I thought he was one of the five best players the entire postseason there were times where he looked like one of the best players in the world that’s how dominant his postseason run was in the Conference Finals because of their lack of spacing issues the timbero lack of spacing issues the Mavericks were able to hone in on him defensively and Anthony Edward struggled to begin this series but towards the end he played pretty well he finished with averages of 27 8 and seven I believe Anthony ARS is pretty damn good he’s only going to get better and I really do think the addition of Rob Dillingham in the draft is going to help this team big time we’ll see how ready he is day one but the timberl have a roster that is locked and loaded and ready to make another deep Western Conference run and maybe make the NBA Finals the next team in the contenders tier I have to respect them because they have Nicole aicu is arguably the best player in the world there is actually the best case for him to be the best player in the world it’s the Denver Nuggets even though they lost kcp I really do believe that Christian Brown is going to take a step forward in the right direction and I think he can fill the void that kcp left Christian Brown this past season shot 38% from the three I think he’s a better cutter than kcp not the same Defender but at this age he’s a better athlete and if those instincts catch up then maybe he can be just as valuable on defense I think Denver’s depth on the bench takes a huge hit because now brown has to start but I think Christian Brown can be a really good starting shooting guard for the foreseeable future and I think he will take a step in the right direction and fill the void that kcp left on to my next Contender it is the New York Knicks getting Mel Bridges having ogn and Obi Jaylen Brunson is a top 10 player just average 32 points per game in the playoffs I know that there have been a lot of jokes about the Knicks because people are saying this is a super team of role players but top to bottom the Knicks are pretty stacked the only position that worries me is the backup center spot but top to bottom this is the probably probably the deepest team outside of OKC and Boston in the league and their identity the toughness they have Jaylen brunson’s heroics and how he can perform this team can make the NBA Finals if matchups are right and guys get hot at the right time I think they are a contender and it’s crazy that I’m even saying that because as a Knicks fan I’ve never been able to say that but I think that the Knicks are a legitimate Contender uh to make the NBA finals this year the next team it’s out of respect for the big three Giannis Damen Lillard and Chris Middleton it’s the Milwaukee Bucks we didn’t get to see them playing the playoffs this past year because they were hurt Giannis was hurt and if Giannis is hurt you can chalk up this season you’re not going to be able to do anything but Giannis is a top three player in the world and I think if they’re healthy they could make a run and I like the moves they made although they can only give out vet minimum contracts signing tan Prince who’s a really good three-point shooter and is going to take the assignment of guarding the opposing team’s best player all the time he’s not going to be very good at it but at least he’ll take the assignment of doing it I think inserting him into the starting lineup possibly or just coming off the bench will be very good for them and D Wright I think has been a good NBA player for a long time and getting Delon right and tan Prince I think it compliments Giannis Dame Middleton and Brook Lopez very well so I’m going to go with them as being another Contender and this is the last Contender probably the one I feel the most iffy about but when you have a talented big three like the Sixers with embiid Paul George and Maxi if they are healthy if they are ready to go they still got to fill out the roster but if they are healthy they will be a contender so all in all I have seven contenders in the NBA talk about parody the OKC Thunder the Dallas Mavericks the Minnesota Timberwolves the Denver Nuggets the New York Knicks the Milwaukee Bucks the Philadelphia 76ers there’s going to be a lot of parody in the NBA next season and I am excited hopefully we get a healthy season out of all these teams now my third tier is Darkhorse contenders I only have two teams in here and they’re both in the west I might feel worse about not having one team in here but I’ll explain it later on in this video the two Darkhorse contenders I have number one are the Memphis Grizzlies the Memphis Grizzlies were injury Riddle this past season with John Morant even Desmond Bane jiren Jackson I think was their healthiest player and even he missed some games Marcus Smart was hurt this team was unhealthy all around but I think if they are healthy they have proven to be a team that can be a top three team in the Western Conference they finished with the second seed in the west not too long ago a healthy John Morant a healthy group of guys Desmond Bane jiren Jackson Jr you brought in Marcus Smart I think they got better at the wing position with v Vince Williams GG Jackson and they drafted Zack Edy to have a traditional big next to JJJ I think the Grizzlies can be a Darkhorse Contender but the question mark for them still remains in the half court in their half court offense how good can it actually be and that’s why I don’t have them as contenders and they’re my Darkhorse Contender the next team I have in the Darkhorse Contender tier are the New Orleans Pelicans the New Orleans Pelicans led by Zion Williamson are always a question mark because we can never count on the health of this team but I thought they made a great trade they traded LaRon n Jr Dyson Daniels and a first round pick I believe for dejonte Murray and hopefully if he gets back to his all defensive ways I mean this team is scary with Deonte herb Jones they’re going to give perimeter players hell on the defensive end and I think they have some of the most talent you have Zion Williams and Brandon Ingram if he stays on the team Deonte Murray CJ McCullum it’s a team of odd fits no doubt but the talent is there and Z has shown us that whenever he is healthy the Pelicans are a top team in the Western Conference they were going to get a locked up top five seed going into the playoffs but then Brandon Ingram got injured and then that slipped them in the rankings but I really do believe in the Pelicans if they are fully healthy but that’s always a question mark now on to my playoff teams the next tier I’m going with the Cleveland Cavaliers Donovan Mitchell Evan Moy Jared Allen daryus Garland is always going to give you a base line you’re probably going to win 50 games probably not anything more than a second round team but that’s why they’re in the playoff teams tier the next team I have here the Orlando Magic and I kind kind of feel bad about not putting them in the Darkhorse Contender tier but I still think they’re about a year away they’re still a bit young but Pao Bon Caro leading away France Vagner just got a huge contract and I think he has star potential they brought in kcp Jaylen Suggs is only getting better wend Carter Jr is a good floor spacer at the five and then you have two really good bench players em Mo Vagner and Jonathan OAC I really hope that Anthony black takes a step forward in the right direction this year I was very high on him coming out of the draft and I think he will this magic team has a lot of depth they’re a really good team but they’re just a little too young and that’s why I don’t have them in the Darkhorse Contender tier my next team in the playoff teams tier is the team that made the Eastern Conference Finals the Indiana Pacers and I think maybe I’m sleeping on them a little bit too much too I do think their road to the ECF was a little bit fluky you face an injured Bucks team the Knicks get injured in the second round but I do think the Pacers are a damn good team if tyes halberton can sustain the level of play that he showed early in the season last year I think it can jump them into Darkhorse Contender status but that right now is a question mark even though I have a lot of belief in Tyrese the next team up in the contenders tier I’m going with the Los Angeles Lakers if you have a team led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis you are going to be a playoff team but the lack of permeter Defenders on this team is what holds me back from calling them a contender I think that weakness is really going to show come playoff time and quite frankly year toe we really haven’t been able to trust this team too much so I can only have them so high the next team I am going to put in my playoff teams tier will be the Phoenix Suns not a contender not a championship team for a team that that has the highest salary in the league they’re way above the second apron you would hope they’re a contending team but they’re not but despite that Kevin Durant Devin Booker Bradley Beal are still a great big three and they give you a baseline of at least being a playoff team I do like the moves they have made getting Mason plumbley and Monte Morris it doesn’t move the needle for me but they are good moves and they will be a playoff team this upcoming season and the last team in this tier I’m going with the Miami Heat still got to show some respect to them even though they were a playing team but Jimmy Butler fighting for a contract extension I think he’ll be more motivated I think we could see a great regular season out of him and khil wear he’s a wild card because if he’s ready to start day one it now moves bam out of B to the four spot and I think that makes the heat that much more dangerous so they’re still a playoff team to me we got two tiers left next tier the playin teams I got the Golden State Warriors I think they’ve had a pretty good off season All Things Considered but still the talent is just not there they don’t have a true second option even though they improve their depth there just still is a lot left to be desired on this roster they’re clearly a playing team to me next team up the Sacramento Kings right now they’re in desperation mode they’re in trade talks to try to maybe get de rozan and if that doesn’t show how desperate a team is I don’t know what does the Kings had a magical season last year getting the third seed but that man they’re just not as talented as the top teams in the west to really compete I think if the kings were in the Eastern Conference they could maybe get to the second round they could maybe make a Conference Finals run they would be definitely a perennial playoff team in the Eastern Conference but sadly they’re in the West in the West is stacked the next team the Houston Rockets they’re looking for internal improvement from their players Al PR shenon Jaylen green can he be consistent can amend Thompson take a step forward they were a playing team last year but unless you’re projecting on multiple breakouts happening on this team I don’t think you can have them any higher next team up the LA Clippers the roster looks ugly I think they’ve done an all right job compensating for Paul George but James Harden Terence man Derrik Jones Jr kawh Leonard zubot being your locked in starter sounds like a playing Team it sounds ugly and this team quite frankly is an injury from Kawai away from being a lottery team in the Western Conference James Harden and Kawai hold them afloat just so much but if anything goes wrong this team will fall way down in the standings they’re clearly a playing team to me as well next team just because they have Trey young still I’m going to respect them it’s the Atlanta Hawks the Atlanta Hawks I wouldn’t be surprised if they finish as a lottery team but I’m going to respect them as a playing team because Trey young at least always seems to get them that far next team up the Charlotte Hornets I’m expecting a leap from the Hornets last year quite clearly they were in the lottery tier I think this year they will be in the playin tier because if lamelo ball is healthy with Brandon Miller I think they are good enough to get into the play I’m a huge fan of Brandon Miller and Lamela ball we can’t forget when he’s healthy he’s a 24- 10 type of guy he’s that good the next team in the play into tier and that’s the last team I’m going to have in there are the Toronto Raptors Emanuel quickley RJ Barrett Scotty Barnes yaka perto they brought back Bruce Brown Grady deck I think is going to improve off of his year last season they traded for Davon Mitchell this team isn’t a playoff team but I could see this team sneaking up a little bit and if they play hard they could be a playing team but I could also see them finishing with like the 11 seed but this team has some talent to work with on to the final tier Lottery teams the Utah Jazz even though they have a star in Lori Markin and they’re shopping him currently I think they should be putting all their chips in the 2025 draft class jar because they need a topend star for their young core going into the future Lori marinan is young but he’s kind of entering his Prime and I think by the time that the Jazz are actually ready to compete he’ll be in his 30s so it does make sense to trade him but they’re clearly a lottery team next team the San Antonio Spurs even if Victor wanyama takes a major leap which I think he will I still see the Spurs as a lottery team but this is definitely the Wild Card of the lottery teams that can jump up a spot or two because they have Victor wanyama next team the Portland Trail Blazers still in Reb build mode still finding their identity they drafted Donan kingan Chanty bips is doing whatever he can to try to make this roster work but still one of the worst rosters in the NBA next team up the Chicago bows they’re finally embracing a rebuild I hope they don’t bring back dear de rozan I hope they trade nivi but this team is bad enough to be a lottery team and to be hopefully Vine for that number one overall pick next team the Brooklyn Nets another team like the bus that have decid decided to go into a rebuild they got their picks back so I think the Nets will be especially bad this year because they want to get a top player in that 2025 class next team the Washington Wizards they traded Denny anvia they had a pretty good draft drafting Alexander sawar but this team also like the other ones not ready to compete and the last team the worst team in the NBA it’s the Detroit Pistons the Detroit Pistons are so terrible Kate Cunningham is the lone bright spot on the team but those are my NBA tiers favorites the Boston Celtics contenders OKC the Dallas Mavericks the Timberwolves the nuggets the Knicks the Bucks the Sixers dark horse contenders the Grizzlies and Pelicans playoff teams the Cavs magic Pacers Lakers Suns Heat playing teams the Warriors Kings Rockets Clippers Hawks Hornets Raptors and Lottery teams the Jazz Spurs Blazers Bulls Nets Wizards
