were miked up during a game you said that you have a top five haircut of all time you knew exactly where I was going with this where does it where does it rank now I it’s just more of a of a feeling right when you get a haircut I was like I’m top five and my teammate um javante he asked me top five what and it’s just a mindset top five whatever you want to be so when I get a haircut I’m top five for sure well you’re also an NBA champion which you’ve been for about three weeks so let’s like start bench cut your last couple of weeks been Victory Parade biggest contract in NBA history member of Team USA how do you sum up this past month month uh the parade was easily maybe the best two hours of My Life um that atmosphere the energy the the city of Boston the fans um however I thought it was going to be it was a thousand times better that was I didn’t I never wanted that day to end that was incredible let’s talk a little bit about Team USA here so Steph Curry he told me the other day that this very well may be his first and his last Olympics and just looking around there’s a sense that there could be that case made also for LeBron James maybe even Kevin Durant what is it like to see those players on the court knowing that they are your teammates now it is it’s mindblowing um because for me it’s like I’ve I’ve been fortunate enough to compete against those guys for seven years now um but I still remember when I was in high school and middle school and going home to turn on the TV and and watch those guys play you know and we got three of the best players three of the best top 10 or 12 whatever you want to call it players of all time literally on one team so even with the coaches uh I I was joking with SPO a little bit yesterday like man I’m happy to be on this side of of the line with you after you know just year after year competing against each other and uh we had a good laugh so it’s a lot of that going on right the battles that you all have had against the Miami Heat the last couple of years it’s the perfect segue to talk a little bit about the Eastern Conference because there’s sort of been this arms race particularly Philadelphia and New York loading up essentially to keep Pace with you all the Boston Celtics what was the team that maybe made the biggest Improvement that you looked at and said oh all right we see what you’re doing over there trying to keep Pace with us uh let me say this the right way uh I respect every person and team in the leag um but honestly these last few weeks have just been about like us and what we just accomplished and US winning the championship um am I aware of what other teams have acquired new guys whether it’s you know Sixers or um New York and teams that have gotten better I absolutely have will acknowledge that and have seen that but uh you know right now is this time has been about us and you know enjoying that that moment and all the hard work that it took to to win a championship um so not necessarily like too focused on what other teams are doing it’s like you know enjoying what we just accomplished you know what that’s called that’s called quiet confidence knowing you know we appreciate what you all are doing over here but we’re good over here that that’s what that’s called we we also saw the Warriors big three dismantled right Klay Thompson going to Dallas being introduced there actually today and Steph told me that he doesn’t think we’re going to see another run like that where teams are winning multiple championships in this really short window because it’s just incredibly hard to keep teams together now but you all are largely returning your same core so so what’s your response to that what do you think your Runway is here um I really just want to take it one year at a time like I I’ve been on the side of getting to the championship and losing I’ve gotten to the Conference Finals and and been so close so I know how hard it is and I’ve also won a championship and I know how hard that is so it’s never a guarantee there’s so many things that have to necessarily go right you have to have a great team you have to get along with each other you have to stay healthy um so you know all those things have to to play a factor do I love that we’re returning you know everybody uh I absolutely do I you know we got to get KP back healthy and um I love our chances to to to repeat um but a lot of things have to go right so Deuce was by your side throughout the playoffs is he coming to France here for the Olympics yeah he will uh he will make his Olympic debut as well he will make his Olympic debut as well I can’t wait for that all right last one for you one game win or take all who you got this year’s Team USA or your Championship [Laughter] Celtics uh you know what when you win a championship it gives you a little Runway to you know save however you yep say what you want and say how you feel um so I’m riding with the guys that you know I I just played 10 months of basketball with him been through hell and back so uh I love this team that I’m on this is a hell of a team some of the best players I ever played but uh you know what I just went through with my teammates and winning the championship is uh you know we we locked in forever so I’m taking us against whoever I love it I love it thank you so much Jason appreciate the time and and at this Grizzlies rookie Z like come on like he’s touching his toes are on the ground that’s that’s not fair and hanging from the rim so let’s check out his uh summer league debut you for the Memphis Grizzlies here look at this block pretty good Mobility there on defense like it and then leading out to Scotty Pippin Jr in transition and then Edy once again nope just denies Hendrick SED it was really interesting Ramona the discourse around whether or not Z could be an impactful NBA player I mean summer league stats you kind of throw away but there were some moments that were really impressive Rive it’s the way he moves and all they need him to do is all that stepen ABS has played for them that valent Tunis has played for them in the past they just need him to get out there and set screens and be a good compliment for V Jeran Jackson Jr this might have been the most impressive moment of his evening though intentional Miss free throw this is exactly why you put him in and the
