“But AB is not a PG”

I told yall trust in AB! I believe he will make rising stars this year. I still think we only dropped so low in standings and were a first round exit because Mosley messed with the lineups

I guess this is why they didn’t draft or sign a PG, because they are seeing AB in practice (and we are not), and he is probably playing like the guy they believe he will become. If you think about it, the only PGs we have are AB and Suggs. But we should see a glimpse of it tomorrow.

Honestly really love how the FO has decided to develop AB. It seems clear they were always going to bring him on slowly and give him the space to grow both as a player and as a person. I think it’s going to pay huge dividends in the long run.

I honestly think by the trade deadline AB will be our lead guard off the bench. I think there is a starting role for him that’s up for grabs. KCP is a proven vet who probably wouldn’t mind being 6th man if AB was earning his playing time.

I mean, if AB can consistently knock down perimeter shots, then that is huge because I love his playmaking ability and how good he can be at finding the open man.

  7. I know he didn’t take many threes, but he still shot almost 40%. If he can just hit threes above 36% at a decent clip that would be huge for us.

I wanna believe but too early for me to drink the Koolade. I seem to remember a certain sincere fan making a lot of summer 3s but not a lot of 3s in games.

  9. If I recall, AB helped us get those 9 or 10 wins in a row last year. Great to hear on his progress.

I don’t get hyped on summer league press conferences, but lets see what he can do.

It pretty much always takes one and done recruits 2-3 years to develop. He may or may not, but it’s good on us to give him the chance to try. We aren’t beating out the current top teams for a title the next 2-3 years either way. Give him a shot, make deeper playoff runs and let others develop as well etc. Like the Celtics did with Tatum and Brown and figuring out what they needed to add to get to title level.

you can see in his form that black has been working on his jumper since being drafted. it looks completely different already

as we’ve seen, orlando doesn’t need a traditional point guard. what they need is someone taller than average for the position that has good defensive instincts and can hit a jumper when left open. a lebron team point guard, basically. black should be able to do these things this coming year already, and the rest is a bonus

  13. I think people forget, there were games where AB turned it on and looked next level last year!!

  14. Hopefully Mosely doesn’t destroy him like the other picks
