kind of look like your veteran guys played like veteran guys Orlando guys like that is is that the difference I would say so yeah they I mean they’ve been here before so we rely on them for that so what can Orlando do in this league he looks like an NBA player even though he’s in summer league now what can he do what kind of Summer can he be in this league I think he’ be a solid Center he does a good job finishing on the basket you saw at 15 rebounds tonight so he I would say he’s like explosive but he’s he’s smart around the basket he does a good job sealing uh fighting for position he’s really smart so he knows how to get to his spots so has this been as beneficial for cam as you R hop yeah definitely 100% in what ways uh he’s getting game reps with his teammates um he’s been more of a leadership role than he was last year when he was at rookie so that’s with three Checker I need just the second game way more confident I think that’s the biggest thing is just him getting comfortable on the court like I know he’s a good player he is confident but I think especially with rookies just being comfortable on the court and then after that everything will kind of fall into place and he just be himself are you surprised at how productive he’s been so early on I don’t know if surprise is the right word but I’m happy it’s happened sooner rather than later I think with rookies a lot of times you want to give them a little Grace like a little grace period to kind of get adjusted and I think he’s pick up things pretty quickly when you have a player like we who can create brother but also has his own shot how how do you strike that balance between him wanting to play wanting to generate opportunities for other guys but also focusing on him kind of hunting his own shot I think guys like him it’s you just want them to be to put them in a spot to make decisions like I think Reed’s a good decision maker and I trust his decision making so I know you draw plays for him he’s and I want I want him to be aggressive in his decision making not necessarily hunting for a shot but if it’s there if he’s in those spots he’ll take what the defense gives him he usually make the right play so last time you want to see more a little bit more of aggression from AJ on Griffin did you see that today yeah I think so I think so I think he was looking for a shot um I liked him defensively especially when he went small how he develop so um I think so far I think he’s still still finding his own I think um he’s working hard on defense um I we got to clean up some stuff as a team Al together but I think he’s doing well around the back B he’s got a he’s definitely a presence inside as a rim protector and that’s something we need as a team so Tim looks like he knows if he needs to he can sort of lower his head get inside and find a way is is that necessarily a good thing it’s like you can’t do that in the NBA the same as you can here I I think with Cam is striking that balance I think him being able to put his head down and be aggressive he’s such a powerful driver I think that uh we want him to I think that’s a unique gift that he has but I think he also needs a balance that with being able to see the floor seeing his teammates when he draws a crow so I think there’s a balance I think he’s really good at putting his head down in transition I think in the half court he gets himself in trouble sometimes I think uh that’s part of his development is just seeing the floor knowing when to put his head down use his gifts and when to find his teammates there was a point at the end of the first half few straight minutes where Reed was playing almost exclusively offall guys were bringing itm what were you looking to see out of that stretch spefic so I knew that the way they were guarding Reed I thought I was curious to see uh with Reed setting or slipping out like not NE setting screens but doing small small screens where you’re slipping out we did that a few times and we got some success uh we knew they were switching and with teams at switch when you have a shooter like Reed slipping out they there’s a miscommunication usually on the switches and that’s where Jean got uh janaan Williams he got that dunk because we did that uh so that was something we kind of wanted to go towards I wanted more small small actions uh more slip outs from the smalls in their setting screen so thank you appreciate

  1. Can I just say that Coach Jackson seems very impressive in these post game interviews. Says all the right things that make complete sense.
