Sacramento Kings VS CHINA | California Classic | NBA Summer League | Full Highlights | July 6,2024

[Applause] dear D rozan back in California and we are underway to Mason Jones Ellis on the drive by sprays it out to Timmy had an ocean from three shot clock is at three they got to pull Ellis the right man for the job with you [Applause] jaw like we’ve got some technical difficulties playmaker Mak things happen on some of those second side actions and he’s off to a great start in the offseason Pon Ellis off 90 lb as of today La sunning out top floer comes up short tipped up and in by U jaia how look I was talking about who was actually born in California Timmy at the sing out front spins on Timmy and Timmy with a big time block he packed on the glass di to Jones for the slam Isaac Jones oh it’s been a lot more difficult for them to win that Asian title of late nice floater there 72 19 years old NBA Prospect he’s guarding Timmy right now here’s Ellis off the screen no hesitation and the right result neon Keon off the elbow they run their split cuts and Timmy going to try and walk down to Big Man out to Mason Jones now nice slot cut by Ellis oh that’s jelly Hansen hands it off off the curl and great ex so Boogie Ellis now the primary ball handler for Sacramento out of USC on the Baseline Jones muscled up but he can also do things like that be powerful and get to the ring good length on the wing for Sacramento Ellis coming off that screen chasing the defender up in their Grill being aggressive Ellis navigating those screens whistle and one tough shot this quarter has picked up three fouls already look Jones and that smattering of Applause you here in the building of late nice follow off the Ellis miss you know I watched him against team Australia and he has so much finesse ell think about the way that he sees the floor and as a big can pass the ball to whoever’s moving around great Point Wing played at USC when undrafted here he is with the ball launches another one and he’s getting everything this work at it skip pass to the corner Kobe Jones trying to cash out saw that skip pass the way that they’re just connected understanding where one another is relocating here’s Jones Colby Jones shot clock down to 10 for Pon Ellis nice little jump hook and others all great stuff Sophia he is a valuable two-way player on this Kings roster very unique in that sense nice bucket in here especially in the G but right there he’s just got to keep shooting there’s the steel Boogie Ellis getting his boogie on as well there’s Mason Jones with the three that was butter that was straight butter folks his diet and exercise and beg for him to send us all the plan I mean it was obvious yeah where’s the rest of [Applause] them and you’re seeing a lot of those things being executed out here you know I think one of the hardest things to do is to make sure that you’re not allowing guys to go middle young wow my goodness what a move right there the footwork way players one more look at that slick move oh my goodness again the footwork for someone that big and then to have it roll off his [Applause] fingertip Crawford with the dribble handoff Ellis touches the paint thought that was going to be allow for the big man it comes off to Ellis [Applause] Jones relocates for the three ball butter and took a seat after making the three ball a trait that he really improved upon in his time in San Antonio with the Spurs at the other end of that Mason Jones has 10 Crawford with some second side action skip pass to the corner Mason pulls and connects biggest lead of the ball game for the Kings now at 50-27 Mason Jones getting excited showing some emotions to the crowd he’d love to see that after a big make hey man when you lose 45 lbs I don’t know what it’s like but and what he has built and the attention he has brought to basketball by being the player that he was and you’re just seeing some bigs out here really inspired by his game Morgan great execution out of the dead ball for Doug Christie post up got a small one on him lost sunning Isaac Jones hands it off one more to Ellis Ellis in the midrange and one obviously always being available for his team working hard when he was going out there Keon Ellis he got me by a couple points but it speaks to his improved and prolific three-point shooting absolutely I mean you can just see with his mechanics and his hierarchy it’s a beautiful shot against K shy Young [Applause] Jon Jones on the second side there’s the lob and the Finish back comes team China on the Baseline that little floater good and he’s them big out here that just has so much confidence with the ball in his hands at three good along with a Jones crosscourt one more to Ellis one more to a wide open key on Ellis and he cashes out team goes into the post Chia Bai and two and a half minutes to go in the third hookie Ellis with the show and go back out to Colby Jones seven on the shot clock inside Crawford got it Rick’s Cafe downtown in Sacramento all the time on that desert game from the wing Crawford oh what a follow Jones said throughout his journey his motor and competitiveness is a skill that would translate the most to the NBA in every level he’s moved up he’s proved people wrong and is looking to the same in this league as Sophia he’s got a great story and adding to the champ they hit the step up at the high [Applause] post back out to hazer hazer on the drive nice speed inside and picker staff couldn’t make the catch that want to show up and leave it all out there on the floor and make sure that everyone’s seen their game and play [Applause] defense azir out front nice cross good bounce pass and finish guys want to make sure they’re showcasing their talent as Joe gets this steel right here throws it down for a transition Jam Mark Jones Jordy Fernandez had a huge part of this king’s defense he’s obviously now the head coach of the Brooklyn Net Doug Christie defense I believe is his middle name and so it’s going to just continue in that direction it’s a great thing for Sacramento but on the floor it’s even more important Dre Timmy on the drive got it Toano helped me through some of the dark times of my career to make it to this point so those two with a very unique and in some of these games for them not only to hold their own but to really showcase how talented they are as basketball players as well as a team obviously it’s got to keep building and growing together but potential especially with the way that he handles the bask finds a way to get in the paint there’s the Turkish point guard haa Timmy with the put back court run some empty Corner two man game with Timmy oh nice layup seasons of Gardner [Applause] web big man comes right down the middle and [Applause] one are they going to count that steel great contest it’s about a five oh Timmy says I got this goes solo he put the eye in ISO in extremely impressive fashion 101 Sacramento had four players in double figure scoring led by Mason Jones is 19

  1. Several things china needs to work on:
-Transition defense, you need to be able to scramble and compromise faster especially if your opponents are more athletic.
-offensive scheme, china relies way to much on close shots and the kings players can easily collapse in the paint to get rebounds or force a tough shot without worrying about 3s.
-Overall physical capabilities, the Chinese players are shorter, weaker, and slower. They need to work on conditioning and lifting more. Height is unavoidable.
-Individual skills of the players, way too focused on fundamentals and lacks bag, very limited handles and shooting capabilities, Lack of offensive versatility from each player, which is forgivable in the past, but a huge disadvantage in modern basketball. It is going to be a standard for future players to be able to play mutiple positions in the future.

I thought the chinese players played pretty hard, at least on defense. 101 points allowed isn't absolutely terrible.

  2. 差距实在是太大了。 经常打球的朋友都懂。强度大 节奏快的情况下动作会变形 该投进的投不进 失误多 防守跟不上

  3. Good for the Chinese, learning from the best and obviously knowing they'll get housed going in. This is the way you get better.

  8. What the hell is Yao Ming doing over in China as the Chinese basketball executive? This is a shame for a country that loves basketball.
