things that they’re trying to do how we guard alexar you know is Mohamed guy comparable to alexar we see him guarding him right now in the summer league so it’s gonna be interesting to see looks like they caught a foul on God trying to play defense on the rookie s but one thing you see man you see he’s active he made that pass to the wing that’s exciting to see man so we gonna blow this up like I a guy that was stashed was this going to be a guy that has any type of impact this season and he’s showing it now he’s shown it now and before Miami traded him to the Hawks Miami was thinking they had to steal the draft they thought they had to steal the draft so loving this pick loving this pick but let’s tune back in so so far is 16-10 Atlanta looks like there’s four minutes left and the Hawks us thought that hey regardless of how much we like de Jon he was a bad fit he just was and it kind of hurts everything on your roster when you have two point guards out there so maybe we can get back to playing good basketball like we did in 2016 and shot the world man and shot the world so again Kobe buffin missing this game I’ll be interesting to see EJ the Dell got figure out what number he is that’s the guy that’s the guy that um was included in the deont try let me try to get this up looks like they’re interviewing muhamed guy I mean I’m really happy to play with him like he’s a great guy player to be able to speak French that’s perfect a guy that was just here last season he had the experience being a rookie and he went through adversity by getting injured so definitely like that that fit you see s there looks like he’s playing Center on this lineup he’s moving well man you know this is a guy that a lot of fo fans W it a lot of people thought alexar was the best Prospect in the draft a lot still think he has the most potential we see him at the bottom of the screen number 12 he looks really really athletic and he looks like he fits so this is what everybody’s wanting to see you know can alexar switch out on guard s and how he hold up and he for he forced Wallace to get that ball up the huls are definitely looking good man good it’s a good roster they put together looks like that’s EJ the Dell want to say he’s a second year guy a guy that was included into D jonte Murray trade it’s a powerful for Center played at Ohio State from Ohio it looks like he gets fouled there on the play so we tune back in after his free throws they’re actually currently showing the general manager and ques and who is obviously exceptionally long incredibly Elite on the defensive end has grown immeasurably but the V just never felt right didn’t quite fit for whatever reason and right now if you’re in the Eastern Conference you are structuring and building your team to beat the Boston Celtics which is a pretty daunting let me get him P what do you think about the balance of tal what do you think about the Sixers and some of the moves made there yeah lovely great move for Paul George to join that team and it’s an upgrade in Talent obviously we look at the East man it’s gonna be very interesting a lot of teams got better if you ask me we may have made a better decision as far as the direction we’re going but I still don’t think our roster got that much better than last seasons’s as we see SAR with a very high post up so let’s look real quick so as of now Alex SAR has a negative s plus minus he hasn’t scored yet he’s only had one rebound he had that one assist when he kicked it out into the corner it’s also 0 for three so Hawks have possession Rich shet is back on the court looks like s’s on the court you know this is what we came to see see him get to his bag definitely has a nice handle on him that’s something they’ve been talking about in practice the past couple days is his handle has surprised a lot of people but you see it’s real tight tighter than bogies already way tighter than way tighter than um DeAndre Hunters as we see SAR oh you love to see it but I hope he is okay yikes and good to see him able to get up this is 610 210 sprinting the floor and on a bullet with the left hand Mr Wallace wow excellent pass great concentration and finish always get nervous around yikes yeah that looked painful um looks like he’s okay you know this is a guy that just dealt with an injury last season think he like fractured his vertebrae or something like that crazy injury so last thing you want to do is see him falling on his back in the summer league you know but he goes to the line knocks it down Hawks are up 33 to 20 with 628 remaining if we full court press it looks like they break the press and they get all the way to the rim we got Mo G bringing the ball up court so he seems to be just a okay give and go and SAR says no no and a terrible pass right after that soong he love to see it but wow what a block from Alex Let’s see we can see it again one thing’s for sure his his um his quickness is is different Sor it is his explosion to block that shot trying to think what that reminds me of oh my gosh I got another one got another one oh my Lord three blocks sheesh soone need to call timeout these boys fatigue but man I he’ll be a rim protector he’ll be able to switch out on guards be able to just be an active big for us the Hawks need defense so a lot of people just thought that was the Home Run pick but s SARS Camp probably didn’t like the fit he wants to probably play for so he can you know really get the most out of his abilities but the Hawks currently have Jaylen Johnson at the four so as much as we may have wanted him it probably just didn’t make sense I mean it’s just unfortunate to say but for the rest of Rich Shay’s career he will always be connected to Alex R just like Marvin Williams was with Chris Paul just like Trey young is with uh Luca donic so it’ll be amazing to keep an eye on his career I’m curious what y’all think you know everyone watching on YouTube and Twitter Twitter is booming how know it’s an extremely small sample size not even the first half but from what you’ve seen in workouts practice to now on the floor yeah well what we’re seeing a lot of are some things we we expect and then some things we want him to continue to develop in right he’s he’s great with the ball in his hands and that just doesn’t mean you know shooting or or or dribbling and all that stuff it’s a lot of like decision making out there you know he knows how to play plays the game the right way able to space the floor very well uh also and I mean there’s a lot of energy that he’s bringing too so he plays with such a a nice Force for our group well Kobe buffkin is not here which means that uh Urich has actually handled the ball a little bit here and shown some things at 6 foot s uh what’s impressed you about this young man his ability to read the game you know he’s he’s got great size for a guard uh handle ability is there a lot of things that we’ve seen in the training camp beforehand is just his vision you’re seeing some of that here early although it is a small sample size but you know he’s a very very good athlete as well that was something that during the draft process we really honed in on and it shows just how he plays the game that donkey had early what’s a little indicator of that rookie the rookies definitely look good we saw a shot clock by violation there but it be interesting to hear what our general manager has to say about s because you know the questions comeing soon um how much do you give him how soon do you give it to him in what you guys are doing overall in the growth of your franchise really we’re just telling her to be aggressive you know like absolutely you know there’s all the pressure the things that come with being number one whether that’s something that he feels or not but he’s such a hard worker he’s such a disciplined worker so all the work when that pressure arises able to fall onto that those are things that for us like in terms of like a character standpoint we really liked about him so he’s going to be just nice looking move from SAR there I want to talk a little bit bigger picture obviously one of the big moves made is that you trade to Jon Murray you know just talk about decision making when you have two Dynamic guards like you had and Trey young um how do you come to that conclusion is that an overall evaluation of how you want to move forward just just what goes into that as you try to build this out yeah it you know it was a challenging decision for us um deante is a fantastic player we knew going into this offseason that we’re going to have to do some things that uh you know we’re going to be tough with with some of our objectives but you know we’re able to find a move in a in a home for him in New Orleans we got some great guys back we got some assets back too that are going to help us reshape this roster and give us some flexibility going forward as we have to continue to build it out so um nothing but the best for him and his family they’ve been great but we’re excited about the guys coming in and our our Direction moving forward banovic is a guy that’s going to be playing with the Serbian national team right in the Olympics um how does he fit into this reconfigured back court I mean just a he’s a basketball player at the end of the day right the shooting as everyone knows is something he’s so a lead at uh secondary playmaker when the ball’s in his hands typically good things happen so adding more and more of that basketball IQ to our entire group I mean he been there before but that’s the type of player that we’re trying to build out more with what was the marching orders I know every organization when young players go away for the summer you give them something to think about talk about work on Jaylen Johnson who you know got a ceiling that I’m so excited about what what do you tell a young guy like that oh keep doing a lot of what he’s doing you know we have a lot of different developmental things that we’re looking at for him he’s taken such a great step he’s got so many great NBA tools and the way he thinks the game he got such a great game for us so a lot of it is just continued body Improvement making sure that he’s able to stay available for us um over time um but we’re really excited about him like he’s he’s going to be good for us DeAndre Hunter another piece how does he figure into the overall picture for you guys he got great size that was something that we wanted to address as well wanted to continue to get bigger um especially from the wing spot so goty like that he’s a betet you know great locker room guy can space the floor but defends uh continuously growing as a rebounder as well so you know he’s going to be big for us as well L we always very much appreciate the time we’re looking forward to this team continuing to make strides I really appreciate yall having me thank you anytime you get around a shot letting it Fly you you love to see it because at the end of the day you know the Hawks need a number two you know we need a guy that’s not scared to you know take a shot we need a guy that’s want to look for his own shot you know that’s what we were missing when we let go with DJ but we’re seeing so far in summer league you know rich is able to create a shot a little bit and he’s not scared to create an open look and to shoot a three so you love to see it man his ball handling is definitely impressive and being fulltime with the team then he mentioned basketball wise finishing at The Rim through and with contact and just his body got a lot stronger which happens a lot when you’re comparing 16-year-old Pros to where he is right now youngest Frenchman ever start in their time League seconds left Hawks are down by seven points so this one should be about over Richard sh ended up his debut as a hawk with 18 five and two he was three from nine for three most to me the best that was nine attempts man he was not scared to let it fly this was the time for you to let it fly to Wallace’s point to Larry’s Point this is a guy that needs to average 18 points per game and if this was game one in the regular season he would be averaging 18 points so y’all resp spot on with that analysis man and that prediction I think I thought he would be somewhere around the 12 to 15 range you know when you look at other rookies in their position what they were able to do um I feel like he’s still goingon to probably be closer to 12 points per game than 18 but hey who knows who knows and to Wallace’s point he’s right on schedule so definitely love to see that out of Zachary Rich Shay the Hawks first pick out of France again very very impressive debut Muhammed Kai this was someone that we were looking forward to seeing a year or two his second year in the summer league him coming back from injury he finished this game with 16 points had a whole bunch of fouls had a block some steals so he was showing a lot of activity defensively and he finished his game with four rebounds so definitely want to see him being more active boxing out getting rebounds um because that’s that’s what we’re gonna need out of him when he comes in plays for the varsity team looking at alexar the second pick out of France he finished the game with a plus minus of plus 15 that’s why when people were saying he wasn’t playing well it definitely felt like he was contributing to this team success and as you can see when he was on the floor you know he he was up 15 a lot of that is due to how the game ended Hawks ended up losing 9486 so we lost by eight points so that helped out his plus minus but either way seemed like he was out there switching out onto guards making it very difficult to attack in the paint he end up with 12 points four blocks four assists and seven rebounds so that’s an extremely impressive debut out of alexar you know it’s a lot harder to adjust as a big he ended up finishing his game 4 12 and again thing I like to see is 12 took 12 shots he took a lot of shots in the mid-range I also like to see the five threes out of the five threes we saw one was a pullup same same three we red about from Rich sh was that same exact three we saw from alexar we saw executed out the pick and pop took one power dribble Let it Fly nothing but that so super super good game for these rookies man you know there’s been a lot of talk about how this was an extremely weak draft class and I felt like there was going to be a lot of good players I didn’t think it was as weak as advertised and if you ask me I mean this was a game where not only just this game but all the games so far in the summer league have shown these guys are coming into the NBA ready to play basketball man you know even if there’s not a tier one guy they’re still gonna be a lot of good basketball players and I think we saw that tonight you know with the Hawks losing 86 to 994 to the Wizards so we got Mo saying Rich s is the Rookie of the Year I like it K say I don’t like losing just me I know the coach had to look at Players plus me I a very competitive person myself I don’t like losing but this wasn’t one of those situations man you know this was a good opportunity for us to learn about Ray learn about NOA I’ve said it several times I think you should shut down Rish but I definitely think you should shut down Mo he he wasn’t the most impressive I think there’s still things he can work on potentially in the G league but at this point we’ve seen enough from OG we know what he’s gonna be exactly what we saw tonight is what he’s gonna be able to do in the NBA we saw him play a couple games in the NBA last season I’ll be perfectly fine with just going out their next game with NOA and just letting him run the offense we got Wallace saying this is why I said that you can’t compare what another rookie player done in the past because every player is different now Wallace you may be right but I still not sure he can get up to 18 points we’re talking about an average I I feel like he was capable of having 20o gains I know he was capable of having big games but can you consistently do that throughout an 82 game season you know I think that’s extremely hard for a rookie but um hey as of now like you said he is on schedule and uh either way I think he’s going to be a productive player for the Hawks got coach saying Trey will create more floor spacing definitely agree and mo is asking when the next match is so let’s double check that together it should be in a couple days let just look anybody in the chat know definitely let us know I know the game should be in a couple days so it looks like we play Let’s just look so we won’t be playing Saturday looks like we’ll play Sunday on ESPN that’ be a great game to watch man they had the fourth pick in this year’s draft they got Stefan Castle he’s looked extremely impressive so far in summer league so it’ll be good to see maybe NOA matched up with castle if he’s still playing and we’ll see again like how we match up against these other young teams Koolaid saying shut down Mo he plays out of control I see how he got hurt when he plays yeah yeah you might be better off shutting out shutting down Mo you pretty much know you about to get D think Tuesday so we play Sunday at 8 let’s see when we play after that it’s a lot of good ret mainly probably because of the defensive versatility but man we’re gonna have to pull up these highlights for Reed Shepard to see how he looked he exploded and he was a big reason why they won 99 to 80 Don conect that was the Lakers first pick he had 25 wow for this to be a weak draft class guys are hooping um but he had 25 he took 11 threes and then bronny James at eight points two steals five rebounds three for 14 from the floor but most importantly 0 for eight for three [Music] ouch ouch but I think Ronnie gonna be a good player man I think he’s he’s gonna um benefit from just having constant pressure on being at least average so I think he will be at least average in the NBA I think he’ll have a long long career man I definitely think Ronnie James gonna have a long career but yeah so that is the news Houston won 99- 80 against the Lakers see who El had a top pick Memphis Memphis got Zack Edy another guy I thought was going to be really good in the NBA I didn’t understand how a guy could win player a year in college two years in a row and then when the NBA draft comes up people act like he’s a bum so let’s see how he performed the gries end up winning 103 to 83 over the Sacramento Kings and it looks like the Kings don’t got anything on that summer league I couldn’t tell you any of those guys and then Zack EDI did not play so looks like they shut him down they’ve seen enough they’ve seen enough so definitely like that pick for Memphis I think he’ll fit in with J Desmond Bane uh let’s tap in with let’s see New Orleans who New Orleans get I don’t think New
