In hindsight, the david west signing turned out to be fool’s gold because we got bounced by okc in part because the spurs smaller frontcourt with west and diaw got outrebounded by okc’s frontcourt of steven adams and enes kanter. The spurs probably had a better chance if they had gotten Dewayne Dedmon that year instead. In an alternate timeline, if we had gotten dewayne dedmon for 2015-16 and david west in 2016-17, I think it would’ve been more competitive

West was my favorite version of Spurs Enforcer during those years post 2014 Title win. He didn’t take no nonsense from anyone and was the first one to step up to challenge the other team after a hard foul on the younger squad or anyone else.
