the Detroit Pistons have signed forward Bobby Clinton to a 4-year $7.99 million contract that is fully guaranteed over his first two seasons Detroit basketball the Detroit Pistons traded up from number 53- 37 in the 2024-25 NBA draft to select the 6’9 225lb forward out of Wake Forest he spent the last season in the NBL where he averaged 10.2 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 33.7% from the three the Pistons should not immediately need the big man in the lineup which gives him time to develop in the G league and the weight room if he can bul up to around 235 lbs and continue to develop his defense in three-point shot he can be a good rotational piece and even a starter for the Pistons in the future Clinton projects in the league as a stretch four with three-point shooting range and can make plays for others while guarding multiple positions on the floor this brings the Pistons roster to 14 players under contract for the 2024 25 season and still keeps them under the salary cap the Pistons have around $3.2 million remaining in cap space which is first in the league to add a 15th player to the roster before training camp begins since clitman is now under contract I would expect him to get added to the Pistons summer league roster and join them in Vegas but that is yet to be determined Detroit basketball
