the Jazz future draft picks apparently guard Moses Moody and some other pick swaps and the Jazz have said apparently no to even some of the other names that have been thrown out there and they’re sitting on they’re they’re sitting on their values JJ they’re not just gonna do it for anything you know what I’ve decided that Justin zanic and Danny Anar they’re the guy on the other end of the KSL classifi firm don’t lowball me I know what I have $300 firm for this couch and I’m not moving on this thing and when you say when you take 200 they go what did I say in the ad 300 what did I say in the ad six first- round draft picks but the idea is that that Larry marinin is still being baned about by this team by the uh by the Golden State Warriors this is the team that keeps coming up they obviously are trying to figure something out and now you’ve gotten mult more multiple names that are getting thrown out there that means there’s a little bit of desperation out there by the Golden State Warriors you right which means it’s also a good place to get them like if they are if they’re that desperate maybe that’s when you hold them over there but that’s what they’ve turned into that’s what I’ve decided that this Utah Jazz front office is it’s the guy that will not meet you in the parking lot at the Target Norm because he knows what he has you need to come to him which is why the Jazz should hold out as long as possible because the Warriors don’t have the leverage here the Warriors are desperate to add a piece that will help them remain competitive they just lost Klay Thompson one of the best players in franchise history and they’ve got a gaping hole in their lineup and they’re trying desperately to to to fill that void and they feel like could be and that would be an amazing ad by the way for them you can’t go into rebuild mode if you’ve got Steph Curry and Draymond Green on your roster you just can’t and that’s who they have right now they’re locked in in long-term deals um you’re paying a lot of money to those guys you don’t have the ability to go out and free agency get anybody and there really wasn’t anybody anyway other than 34y old Paul George that was a realistic Target so what did they do well they got to go out in the trade market and marketing is a guy that’s currently on a team that’s not contending for a playoff spot I don’t think there’s any doubt about that the Jazz are not going to make the playoffs next year the Jazz are in a full rebuild mode they’re probably thinking 2025 draft and Cooper flag and not about anything else so if you’re the Warriors you see an opportunity to pry away an All-Star player and add him to your roster and extend the window of opportunity for this Warriors franchise while Steph and Draymond are still there and I think the Warriors are trying to do it without losing their key young players because they don’t have a lot of depth if they’re going to throw in joh kaminga in the deal that’s kind of a setback for the Warriors even though they’d be adding Lowry they’re they’re trading away one of their best young players and probably their best their most athletic player they don’t want to do that Brandon Pinsky out of Santa Clara who was a big surprise out of this draft last year right they don’t want to trade him but you got to give up something and so the Jazz are going to want a young star player or two I think what they’re saying is they’re asking for is kaminga and psky which is exactly what I would do because you have the leverage not the Warriors and so the Jazz need to hold out as long as possible if this is what they’re going to do and the Jazz are deciding that for the right price they will move Lowry to allow Lowry to go play for a playoff Contender while they rebuild I guess that’s okay I hate the fact that they’re even thinking about shopping well I shouldn’t say shopping the Jazz are not shopping low but they’re listening to offers is what’s going on here the idea of trading away an Allstar is just like it’s it’s kind of cringe right like I don’t care what as cringe as getting that rice cooker in a gas station parking lot from a ksl.com class told at 11 o’ at night that’s what it feels like don’t fall for it don’t do it um it was cringe for me when the Blazers traded Damen Lillard because I just it just felt like you’re giving up the face of your franchise one of the greatest players if not the greatest player in your franchise all time and it just doesn’t seem right that franchise are doing that but you got to flip that switch at some point so if the Jazz do decide to go this route and listen to these offers from the Warriors they better take a big Hall in return because there’s potential down the road for these Warriors picks to be pretty valuable because once Steph’s done the Warriors are going to stin unless they play their cards right and they’re they’re a smart organization but Bob Myers isn’t there anymore and I’m not I don’t have as much confidence in the the what’s left what’s remaining after he left that organization well I I think that there are a lot of I think there are a lot of positives that come out of this I think that at some point though you wonder how many times you have to see and again it’s not that he’s going to see his name in the in the press all the time and look at it like they don’t like me I feel like a guy like low is pretty confident in you know how he feels about whatever is going to happen in his career is fine like and he also understands the business side of it there’s an intellectual side of being like it is what it is and just knowing kind of how he is a little bit and knowing also that you know I I I can’t tell you so I follow a lot of F1 and a lot of the best drivers in the world have come out of Finland before everyone of them has the same attitude as like H whatever like do you see like the shrug attitude from uh n can’t help I can’t do anything about that it’s fine it’s business I know I understand it there’s a lot of that like some intellectual honesty that you get out of guys like I think that the Jazz know that that they understand that if they did it with a little bit more of a fragile ego at some point it would they’d have to bail because it just feels like the okay you’re shopping me out there so much that I’m I’m I’m feeling I’m feeling like I’m not doing enough here you know what I mean I feel like I’m I feel like I’m I’m not good enough for you and that’s just not the way that low is as a person I mean you’ve seen him as a player maybe you disagree but I he’s the kind of guy that I think he understands completely how this works this is his third team in the NBA he he’s been traded twice okay so getting traded a third time would probably be no shock to him uh and if that’s what the Jazz have to do if the offer becomes so big that they can’t turn it down then I guess you move forward with that Larry gets it Lowry understands I hope Lowry understands he’s wanted here he’s loved here uh he’s obviously had his best year as an NBA player here made an All-Star game here uh left the mark on this franchise already um there has not been relative to other franchises as many Allstars in this franchise’s history as as some others and he’s on that list it’s harder to make an All-Star team than it here than it is anywhere I mean a lot of you’re not getting a lot of fan vote opportunities right so uh you know he gets it and I I just I think the Jazz can extend and keep Lowry and still suck next year don’t make a bad deal because you feel like you got to move them here and I don’t think they I love how you made that as a positive like look you can keep Lowry and still suck next year come on like that feels I think that’s the best case scenario that’s okay listen to hear me out here like if you suck next year and you still got Lowry extended long term and then your land Cooper flag to pair with Lowry marinin and and everybody else you got here like now you’re now you got something going on guys you could still do something amazing next year and keep sucking good job isn’t that awful is the world of trying to be in the lottery hunt in the NBA is a wild place to be it is an absolute wild place to it is a problem and it’s not a certain thing and we T I talked about this last week there’s probably four number one overall picks I think since the lottery began in 1985 that actually won titles with the team that drafted them four Kyrie Irving LeBron James and LeBron James was the Second Time Around by the way and then it’s David Robinson and Tim Duncan nobody else yeah it doesn’t guarantee you anything either so you know it’s not a perfect science and tanking and all this stuff is not a perfect science obviously you need to have some opportunities and you got to get as many ping pong balls as you can for a draft this is good but man I just hate seeing having to play to the game to the point where you’re going to trade away an Allstar to increase your chances that seems like the opposite of what you should be doing in build in building a team oh there’s Dante exom I was like I was like he plays for Australia does he Off the Bench for he’s not one of the yeah he’ll be their Sixth Man of the tournament I know they blew it against team the other day they couldn’t they couldn’t uh rally enough there at the end but that was still a really really nice game by Australia by the way but we saw team say we watched play a game in Vegas uh last week right like on what yeah it was on Wednesday Wednesday night yeah they played uh Canada and then they play in the United Arab Emirates last night like man the life of these guys going from one it’s not just one city to the next it’s one very very far away continent to the next and then they go from here uh after they tune up in Dubai then they go to Paris at the end of the month so yeah the this USA team is good they’re they’re the favorite to win but there’s a lot of good competition they’re not better than the they’re not better than Team USA back in 1992 this is not the Dream Team this team better than the Dream Team question come on I should I should say it’s not about USA it’s about everybody else yeah France is loaded France is good Australia won the bronze in in Japan in the in the last Olympics uh and Canada is a contender when you covered this in when you covered team Yos in Japan uh for the 2021 Olympics yes like you that was one thing I remember you talking about was like you got some pretty cool access because it just wasn’t anybody there it’s different yeah there wasn’t anybody there but there wasn’t a lot of journalist there and another thing about basketball at the Olympics it’s not one of the big draw sports that’s gymnastics that’s swimming that’s track and field are you kidding basketball is not the most popular event certainly for Japan too it wouldn’t be necessarily the number one but Japan does have their national team is in this Olympics R haimura yeah but right they don’t have a chance you’re not going to see them in the metal rounds right maybe I just wished them into the metal rounds maybe I just lucked them into the metal rounds you’re welcome Japan you’re welcome they’re due uh all right so I I just I I had all the I have all these thoughts about whether or not the jazzer are you know at some point do you do more damage by just keeping this thing going like how long is Lowry marinin going to see his name because then you think to yourself all right it gets around to September middle September and then you’re in Camp and then it’s like all right pause for the season to start everything gets going and then the trade deadline before the before Allstar break that’s kind of when guess whose name would come up first in all this again and a team would finally probably make some deals Lowry Markin and his name will come up if if he doesn’t get traded by the end of this summer his name will come up again in February and it’ll keep coming up until they say we’re not making deals for him anymore and I don’t know if that time is going to come or if he will always just be an asset that’s out there uh if they don’t have would they want him to be the second or third big name on a on a roster I think that’s a dream scenario 100% I think it takes a long time to get there yeah that’s the hard part about it and his Lowry willing to wait and is it best for Lowry’s career to wait I mean I that’s that’s for Lowry to answer you get him a call hey Finland put me through to low marinin I feel like Finnish uh there’s only so many people in Finland right it should be pretty easy to get a hold of I feel like Finnish operators would also be would also not quite flat footed during the whole thing do you think the Dolphins are more concerned about the significant damage to Hard Rock stadium or the significant damage to the ego of their starting for a starting quarterback and I think he’d be more than happy to take his uh his game elsewhere look Jared G’s getting a 4year 212 million dollar extension 170 million guaranteed Tua wants the same money as those guys are getting I think uh um Trevor Lawrence just signed his deal with the Jaguars I believe the same is no different draft class right so he was a year before two a year before or maybe even two was the Zack Wilson draft class in 2021 but uh uh 2 was the year before but I think uh a lot of those guys have already gotten their deals done so that’s an issue for Miami not the something right yeah so yeah it’s nice story nice spin but Baker Mayfield still in the league because he was the number one overall pick and plenty of teams still believed in him the Rams believed him and gave him a shot the Bucks signed him and gave him a shot so this idea that nobody loved you or whatever I get it you know the way that I mean here’s the problem this is the biggest problem he’s drafted by the Browns bad organization by the way bad results by the way everybody’s treated like laundry right like dirty laundry welome to the NFL everyone’s treated like cattle actually oh yeah everybody yep that’s true I I think Baker Mayfield if he’s being totally honest with himself can say hey I actually ready for that stage at that at that moment he survived it great this like and think uh YouTubers play play video games play just so I can get the just so I can get the idea of it all right you are your kids uh the worst of course over the week was me trying to get in a a uh an Argentina versus Columbia cop America final and listen I don’t carve out time for soccer matches that often but yesterday was a was awesome socc yes you have Spain England which is was that phenomenal awesome that was great and then uh you’ve got Argentina Columbia which you know promised to be those are definitely it’s one thing in some of these tournaments you go oh that team actually kind of shouldn’t have been there necessarily Argentina Columbia those were the two best teams in that tournament uh Spain and England I mean Spain by far but England kind of you know they they kind of suffered their way through a little bit and they kind of were playing their best soccer at dance it was a good so it was a good match to watch these were good matches I turned it on at six six o’clock just like Fox told me to and it said delayed and I thought oh lightning no yeah uh people climbing through air ducts to get to a soccer match conely wrecked I congratulate the fans for that uh for that type of Ingenuity getting into the game it’s a creative way to get into a stadium with without a ticket it was a mess dude and the players went in the stands for the Columbia Year by the way Columbia is kind of the uh common denominator and all this Colombian fans yeah not not a good day I’m sorry all of you Colombians out there I know you’re better than this but that was a pretty embarrassing showing by your fans I feel bad for the people that climbed into the ventilation system all to watch their team lose with no without scoring a goal well no they been brutal well they kicked everybody out of the stadium reset the ticket system oh you think that there were some people who were there was so many people in that stadium that didn’t pay you think there were some Bruce Willis’s in that air duct system there might still be some Colombians at Hard Rock stadium careful when you turn on the heat well they never would not they’re not going to turn on the heat in Miami but it might get a little chilly in there wow at some point um you might find some people in there expired well I would uh I would be a little lur about that they got to they got to they got to play the match and there you go and it ended the way it should have with was dramatic so there you go over time Victory Messi crying on de Maria crying it was uh it was awesome and that final goal was uh I was just glad it didn’t go to PKS it just I didn’t want to see any more Copa America matches were all going to PKS because they didn’t do extra time till the final right and so I was glad that they uh
