[Music] all right let’s run it back from the top all right here we go salute to Nicks Nation on this Tuesday evening another edition of kftv post game live presented by manscaped CP the franchise in the building reporting live from Las Vegas the summer Knicks looking to get their first summer league win in the book playing their cross time Town Rivals the New Jersey Nets man and uh hey this was a tough one for the Knicks even though they took a lead at the half uh those Brooklyn Nets give them credit their defense was solid and in the second half they sawed bombing away from three Nicks could just could not contain and got outscored from downtown by about 18 points and it was the Brooklyn Nets who emerged victorious in this one 92 85 but you know what the one rule about summer league is it’s only summer league but on today’s show we’re going to overreact to everything man kic DOA hpy we’re going to give you our reactions to it all so lock in hit the like button hit the share button always in the building salute never misses a show man yeah I started a little late tonight because obviously I got everything going on working at summer leag and I had to get my old man naing it was just that simple it’s 109 degre outside it’s hot as hell I was working all day and so I had to get my old man napping before I got to this show so I wait for some of our guys to get in here JJ salute Dr D Roy salute William 1072 let’s go J from PR I see you guys all right man summer league reactions let’s go with the boy W Tyler kic that’s who everybody came to see especially in this game coming off of his Triple 7 game debut um look I I thought kic he his his passing ability was once again on this play did a great job playmaking and scoring wise he I thought he came on strong in the end where the Knicks were were trying to climb back into this thing I thought he did a good job both him and and Dwayne Washington did a good job playing off of each other and colic really finding his guys and and he could have had more assists in this game uh but you know the the the Knicks obviously this is a summer league team and some guys were just not making their shots so kak did finish with seven dim in this one but I thought he could have finished with a little bit more if guys would have would have finished on some of his passes overall still good field good reads uh but Knicks would just not knocking it down for Kik the issue is right now is his defense defense is wful right now I think we could we can all agree there is that his defense is just not steady I mean Brooklyn was going right at him and he he couldn’t stop him he he could not stop him number 14 on the Nets I I forget his name might be Gillard was uh was was bombing away on him and and Nets Nets were kind of picking on him as well so it was a tough night at the office for him and he’s going to need to work on his defense for sure especially if he wants to play in spot minutes with Tom Tibido so for kic look we got let’s temper our expectations offensively he has it together but he’s got a long way to go he’s got a lot to learn and when the Knicks went out there to get campaign well for one I didn’t think they were going to settle for Cole has a backup point guard yes he still has a chance to yes he has a chance to crack the rotation and get rotation minutes maybe it’s an injury or maybe it’s situational but campaign is going to be playing and Kix is going to have to show a lot more to get significant minutes over both campaign and Duce McBride in this rotation so knowing that the Knicks are always going to go out there and get a veteran point guard it was going to be hard for Kik to just be the assumed backup point guard he’s going to have to earn it and and as of right now when we start training camp later this year and get into the regular season campaign is going to take that spot tab’s just going to go with the vet so you know that that’s all for kic he he he’ll uh keep it pushing they they’ve got to uh turn it right back around and they got a game tomorrow and we’ll see how he fares so that was coing JJ from Brooklyn says he’s a turn style barbecue chicken yeah wasn’t that good man was not that good so that was kic summer league it’s only summer league but nevertheless we are overreacting to it uh pacome daier D finished with 11 points 4 13 from the field two or seven from downtown eight boards two dimes three turn turnovers though it was a bit bit of a better showing today for pacome darier uh had two nice back-to-back three-pointers he had a nice sequence there in the fourth quarter two back-to-back threes as the Knicks were trying to make their climb he didn’t look as overmatched as he did in game one he look he looked uh pretty pretty competent but overall he’s another guy that is going to need work he needs time and for the Knicks we have time to give him to develop so he’ll be a Westchester guy maybe you see some spots you know with the rain main Roser but mainly on the bench you know pomier he he’s going to be a project long-term project but you know what these Knicks are turning into a Wing Factory when you factor in maau bridges factor in O anobi they have D yeah keep it coming keep churning it out you can never have enough Wing depth and darier is is proving to be that guy but you know what he he’s going to he has some time to to develop and we’re going to give him that Jon PR says he looked good he just needs to knock down a few more shot yeah his shots is just not consistent the form’s good but the shot you know just not consistent sometimes it’s on the money sometimes it’s an airball so again we we’ll give him side time JJ from Brooklyn says he’s got upside you could see his potential sure I I I definitely uh agree with that kyle7 says he’s got guys aren’t impressed it’s all about development absolutely agree none of these guys are going to be relied upon to deliver for this team this year so it’s cool you just watch you look at the good things you see what they need to work on and you keep it pushing kyle7 F Super Chat says salute to CP met him on his first night in Vegas having Mexican and he’s a cool dude let’s go Nick we go into the finals go argue with your moms shout out to kyle7 yeah man uh definitely was was able to to meet at the the happy hour at the Mexican restaurant here at the resort and and uh definitely appreciate the love appreciate the love from all the fans man met a ton ton of fans over the last two days here in Las Vegas ton of kftv fans and uh the love is is always real and always appreciated so that was D Huck pori he was all right two or three from the Field Four Points six boards two assists he’s got good fundamentals for a big passes the ball well rebounds I think he uses his size pretty well I think I think he was pretty decent he he played uh 23 minutes in this thing but the center that caught my eye and I think everybody else’s is this kid Dimitri Scott pinv I I I made sure to pronounce his kid’s last name correctly because from last year I’ve been butchering it now Scot pin Sev he’s played on the Nick summer league team last year he was up in Westchester as well he’s got skills man I mean he’s got skills he plays tough he knocked down a three-pointer late in the fourth when the Knicks were making their charge 19 points nine boards two assists three steals a block got it got it done all across the stat sheet six to seven from the field Scott pinv was looking pretty impressive man now is he going to be fighting for the backup five position I don’t know but he gave us something to think about he looked pretty good demitro demitro is his name I thought I think I said Dimitri yeah what you guys think about Scott pinv I liked him man he looked really good Anthony so let’s see let’s see how he plays tomorrow but even last year in summer league he showed some some flashes of some Talent certainly plays hard that’s for sure and I like that Jon PR says we don’t need too much from our Center I disagree you need someone who can log legit starter minutes for you you need a legit insurance policy and and and you know I ran into a guy in front of the program Fred Catz because what’s up with the precious situation as we talked about the backup point guard spot what is up with the precious situation are they looking to deal him in a trade or is there a trade out there that’s going to get him back with his team I the the precious thing is interesting he has not signed with the team and he has not signed with the Knicks as yet something’s something’s up they they they are working the phones on something we’ll just have to wait and see what that is and and uh whether or not pre AA comes back but yeah no the backup Five Spot is very important I I I would not Overlook that one bit and I don’t think the Knicks are either now if the whether the Knicks can get Kessler I think that’s a pipe dream anything’s possible but you’re dealing with Danny in and whether it’s Kesler or even marinan who everybody’s trying to get him over to the Warriors I don’t see Danny AES being these these guys aren’t you know just dumps of Trades you’re gonna have to pay gotta pay Danny so I don’t think I don’t think Kessler’s I don’t think Kessler’s a realistic Target but either way Scott pinev certainly made a name for himself today great job by him you know Dwayne Washington man he’s not going to make the squad but man he’s trying to help this this summer league Knicks win games 21 points 7 to 12 from downtown two or six from the field obviously he’s the Nicks best player but because he’s a long shot to make the team just based on the fact that they have so many guards he’s not going to make it but he’s a good shooter man he’s a good player I I do hope that he lands somewhere in in in his in the NBA and is able to resume his NBA career plays well definitely hasn’t met a shot he doesn’t like so he knows his job on this team is to fire away and fire at will but he’s a good shooter he he he could definitely shoot it yeah he turns the ball over way too much yeah me and CK 2K were noticing that as well five turnovers that could be part of his problem why he doesn’t have much staying power in the league every time he gets the ball he’s throwing it all over the place but he can shoot it me me and TK were talking about that today the Kate the guy is a walking turnover and shout out to ck2k the family was in there today ton of Nicks fans in the building CK my guy Sean Shepard the Nick Chick was in the building uh Nick beat was in there Fred Katz Bondi Stephen popper so it’s good to see everybody man everybody’s here in Vegas my guy Dexter Henry’s in the building man Dexter Henry’s out here uh repping SNY as well we had a great great session at the at Summer League they have a studio the studio is is uh is operated by Ryan Gentry a son of Alvin Gentry so I’m going to be using that studio uh from a director standpoint for the sports business classroom overseeing the students who are going to be there hosting podcast kind of just overseeing it giving them feedback giving them tips on how to run a show but I also uh we also recorded a kftv podcast earlier today uh it was me Dexter Henry and my guy Andrew claudo from the Nick film school so I’m going to I have the file I’m going to put that up maybe I’ll schedule that for Friday just to space things out a little bit bit but make sure you guys check that out because it we had a good good conversation about the latest and greatest of the the New York game rokas you know two four four points I’m I’m not impressed with this game he he wants to show that he can play in the NBA level is there a team that will give him a chance an won’t be with the Knicks Knicks ain’t bringing him up this year but I don’t know rollr he he’s he’s slow I haven’t been impressed with his offense defensively I thought he was pretty tough he’s he’s he’s a he’s a deceptively big guard I think you know he he uses size pretty well defensively he’s pretty stocky there but offensively I think he leaves a lot to be desired so I don’t know what do you guys think about Ras I I haven’t seen much man nostalgic Nick said Ras can go back he can go back yeah I I don’t know yeah Ras ain’t really it ain’t really it and the rumors are that he’s going to go like Vegas said in the chat is that he could go to uh Lithuania the the Lithuanian League to go play for the team ziris and that that’s probably better for him you go there you’re able to start carve b roll for yourself a and keep it pushing so I I don’t see much of an a a future for rokas yakutis in a New York Nick uniform I definitely do not see that let’s see who else we got in the chat and no alic yeah about Jaylen Martin on the Nets he had a couple of moments in this game former two-way player that the Knicks had picked up out of the G League ignite I mean out of the overtime Elite so he’s looking to get his career on track he’s with the Brooklyn Nets organization now and maybe that’s the best path for him as they have no players anymore so yeah he he looked pretty good and yeah that was pretty much it man but the Knicks will be back at it tomorrow that is a 12:30 Pacific uh 3:30 Eastern game we will be there we’ll we’ll we’ll uh we’ll take a look and we’ll do another one of these late night shows to recap it all uh I’ll be on set with uh with the sports business classroom pretty much all day tomorrow so we’ll have a number of uh NBA guests that will be rotating in today we had uh Tom Ken as I said and then Amin Lassen closed it out on the studio set so it was a good time chopping it up with Amin he got to work with our students Tom Ken as well who else got to uh chop it up with Alvin Gentry veteran NBA coach got to chop it up with him today my guy Jamal Crawford was in the building that was downstairs heading to the meeting room this was yesterday actually I just forgot to tell you guys this yesterday was downstairs walking through the tunnel who do I see Shams and my guy Jamal Crawford totally bypass Shams gave my guy Jamal Crawford one of one of those bro hugs like like when like when you see the homie you see your cousin you haven’t seen in a long time it’s like Shams you cool at all JC what up yeah so JC was here and and he was showing love for sure and his his the session our primary session was on uh building a brand but and that was that was presented to the entire group the entire group is about 130 students the students are divided into sections uh like agents so aspiring agents are in a different section you have analytics in a section you have cap guys media broadcasting and there may be one more that that I may be overlooking so either way when you’re in your respective section then you’re sitting in classes that are being taught by for example Seth part now is teaching on the analytics Bobby Marx is teaching on the CBA they’ll bring in a a special guest I think David Faulk is coming through former NBA agent extraordinaire David Faulk is coming through I think he’s a guest speaker tomorrow Jerry West in the past rest in peace to the logo was a frequent uh guest for the sports buiness classroom so that’s pretty much what it is and then today uh it was myself Howard Beck ja adande and Heidi mendle uh one of the courses that that we that we presented on was um n it was called numbers without numbers how to tell a a a story without the over Reliance on analytics analytics are great but without proper context without a a narrative around it it’s just numbers so we kind of dug into that show different examples of how from a writing standpoint how these writers incorporate analytics and then I kind of came in from uh the podcast and broadcasting side in terms of how we kind of deal with the numbers here on kfv to to tell the story without you know putting people to sleep I just you know just just nerding out with the calculations because that alone is not going to do it so it’s been an incredible experience man you know I’m up there at the podium right me next right next to ja d right and know I’m I’m used to watching ja on on around the horn breaking it down and so I’m learning from these guys just as much as the students are as well that’s an incredible experience and then went to the set to oversee uh some of the students that were um you know working on their broadcasting skills and uh working on the podcast K75 Super Chat says I’m down to give Sims a 20 to 25 game run to see what he can do we have enough talented Wings where we can afford that and and 12:15 comes quick I get what you’re saying there I’m not sure they give it a Sims I’m not sure they give it a Sims but uh look they they’re
