SNY: “Precious Achiuwa free agency update shows Knicks likely still in lead for reserve big man”. I really like this dude’s energy and would love to have him back as a rotational big.

I think Precious and Rokas should fill out the last 2 roster spots

  2. He’s better than Sims and young enough to still improve with a full year or 2 under this coaching staff. He’s from NY and has shown he’s a dog when it matters. I can’t think of a better option currently available in free agency than Precious. He’s either going to be part of the rotation or part of a trade for a center but if he comes back and he’s the back up center I’m good with that.

i like precious because hes agile. jericho athletic af but still feels indecisive and stone feet despite his insane hops.

  4. What’s the competition. Clearly he hasn’t had any offers

They are clearly working on bigger things right now, so fucking that up prematurely by guaranteeing Precious isn’t on the menu. I have no doubt in my mind they are trying to swing big for an established young C like Duren using Deuce and Detroits own pick back.. Makes too much sense.

  6. Safe best is on Precious and Ryan A. with the last two spots.

As a back-up 5, Precious is a very solid option and he’s still young enough to add more wrinkles to his game.

He’s a good fit. Steve Adam’s would be ideal but I’m not losing Mitch and there no way to make the money work. Obviously they aren’t trading Donte

Him not signing yet is a sign they’re something cooking.

Of the guys available, Precious is the guy to bring back. I’d prefer to see him play the 4, but he can slot in at the 5 and let Randle play the 5 in some small ball minutes, and Sims can play as the 3rd string guy. We’ve seen what Precious can bring defensively and was one of our most effective defenders against Embiid. If Mitch gets hurt, we see who’s available on the trade market mid-season, but I’m perfectly fine rolling into the season with Precious as our back up 5 and going small for some stretches.
