I’m way too hyped in July… Can it be October yet?…

I’ma wait till I see him knocking down threes on an NBA court before I get hype, cause there’s been a lot of summer insta posts where “[insert x player] is showing a smooth 3 pointer in practice”, and then it just doesn’t translate to the court.
But goodness me, if Ihart has even a respectable three, then that five-out offense is gonna be rolling nice next year. I’m hoping. But either way, he’s gonna be a great fit next season.

This is peak offseason material right hur

Hartenstein believe it or not used to take 3’s, just not as of recent. Great to see him practising these as he’d likely get a lot of opportunities within our offence, even if he can shoot 30% that would be super, super helpful for us

What are these lyrics? Is a famous rapper actually shouting out OKC Thunder in his song?

His three is looking really really smooth. I don’t know, To me the three ball for a center has always been a bit overrated. it’s helpful, in that it gets the shot blocker out of the paint. But most of the time you want your bigs closer to the basket. Dunks, Offensive rebounds, Lobs, and even Hartenstein’s Jokic level floater can be used closer to the basket. To me a shooting big is more of a “keeping the defense honest” gimmick.
That said, if Hartenstein in particular can develop a three…. It changes everything because he has the ability to take his man off the dribble and make no look passes for layups. This is not a Brook Lopez situation. This is a oh shit, Hartenstein just put up a 30/20/10 game without missing a shot situation if he adds a three ball

That jump shot looks solid. If he’s just a league average low volume 3 point shooter, that’s going to drive defenses nuts.

He used to take a decent amount of 3s, the Knicks just didnt need/want him doing that

The league is so cooked
It’s not really what we need from him.
