I think there’s an underdog chance the suns could look good this year. They had flashes of looking really good against really good teams last season when healthy. There’s a possibility if healthy that they could pull a T-Wolves by finally building chemistry together and getting their stuff together in a similar fashion.

I think Durant gets traded after this year if they don't compete. Booker has stated multiple times he wants to be a Sun for life. Hopefully Beal returns to form or else that trade for him was the death blow to the championship push.
Kd is good regular season but when playoffs come people play defense that is more aggressive and they dont care if kd gets hurt playing hard defense. His legs get wobbly his hard shots he takes are actually hard and you cant count on that. He is a 2 not a 1 on a championship team. People can claim he was mvp or the warriors hmmm when you play with a unselfish team playing to win and not looking for individual rewards and he is weird he accomplished his goal. He hijacked finals mvp and forced to get his when it was easy for him driving down the middle of the lane klay n steph at three and defenders let him drive right for dunks.
KD doesn’t know how to pick them he would have been closer to a ring by going to Miami. He’s further away from a championship than in his early days in OKC
You won't win a title if KD is your #1. Multiple teams have tried but came up way short and destroyed their future to get him only for him to throw a fit and demand a trade. Golden State had won the title before KD joined up and that was not it's team it was Stefs. That's one of the reasons he left them after getting the rings he wants prove himself but has only failed in every place he has been. He isn't going to change his way or mindset so he will stay a great player who can't get a ring with him leading.
As a rockets fans going from praying on the Nets downfall to the Suns downfall is interesting to say the least.

Suns are fine. They upgraded to an offensive minded coach, added to their depth and got some young pieces. Also now have some tradeable pieces. Suns were only 4 more wins away from the #1 seed while dealing with injuries all season long. With everyone back and a healthy season, Suns will easily be a top 3-4 team in the West.

Suns just dont have enough 2way / defensive focus players add that with having a lackluster big who cant switch on wings = losing. If they had a big who could also run point their offense would make up for their defense
The GM who traded for Beal should be fired.. Even casuals knew that was a bad trade. I know the GM had to do something but they over paid… Like 3 picks overpaid.. Second rounds picks IMO can be valuable if you have a good development management team.

The bottom line is, Phoenix screwed themselves for the foreseeable future with the Kevin Durant & Bradley Beal trades.
If we get to 2026 and the Suns are still mediocre, they should keep Booker and build around him with great role players.
