🚨 REPORT: Mavericks Interested In Signing Spencer Dinwiddie, Dennis Smith Jr. Or Talen Horton-Tucker
The bulk 2024 NBA Free Agency has come and gone, but Mavericks GM Nico Harrison still has work to do to improve the Mavs’ roster. NBA Insider Marc Stein reported that the Mavs are interested in signing Spencer Dinwiddie, Dennis Smith Jr., or Talen Horton-Tucker to fill their final roster spot. Markieff Morris is also reportedly a lock to return to the Mavs, which means AJ Lawson’s roster spot could be in jeopardy as his contract is non-guaranteed. Mavericks rumors have been slow when talking about the final roster spot, but could Dallas be getting ready to make a move? tbh I would pref to get DInw or Flutz, but I think the best move is to trade for tyus jones.

The Mavericks need to plan for a 100-game season which means that Luka and Kyrie need to play under 33 minutes per game. That way Luka and Kyrie can be closer to 100% at the end of every game and be more able to avoid serious injury. The main lesson from the finals is that Luka was beat up and in pain so was closer to 75% of his normal ability. Kyrie was just worn out by the finals. Dinwiddie and Smith would give a reliable third ballhandler to eat up 15 minutes per game in the second and third quarters sparing Luka and Kyrie.
Luka wants DSJ, you get DSJ. It’s only fair after Luka led this team to the Finals.
It is not lost on me that he (Spencer D.) called the Mavs "soft" when he join the Lakers this past season; only to see the Lakers get bounced early and the Mavs make the finals.
That being said, I can forgive him, if they bring him back or…not.😊
