Well one of them is incapable of playing so seems like it will work itself out

It has been mentioned by the FO itself that Ayton is interested in playing the 4. I think that makes it clear they are going to experiment with that this year.

There isn’t much of a log jam. If Rob is “healthy” he and Clingan will backup Ayton. And Duop won’t really play.
If Rob isn’t healthy then Clingan and Duop will backup Ayton.
I saw a post on the trade sub I thought was ridiculous but had a lot of support (relative to other posts on that sub), but it boils down to Wop and 2 2nds to the Knicks for a 2025 1st and I believe Bates-Diop who’s an expiring
Which, thinking on now, a 1st in the 20s is probably decent value. But the 2025 pick is owned by the Nets now. Just a thought on value though

How did we go from having no depth to having a log jam? Clingan/Ayton is not a log jam especially since Ayton can slide to PF. Having Duop as extra depth isn’t a negative. I’m not factoring in Rob at the moment. Until he can stay healthy. Even with him it’s solid depth.

One of them lives at OHSU so it’s not a big deal imo
Rob isn’t relevant to the rotation until he can play more than 10 games. I’d rather ship him off anyway. We could probably add another pick this year to someone desperate.

Both Rob and Ayton can play the 4. Having Duop as an injury replacement is not an issue.
We are gonna probably start Ant Shae Deni Grant Ayton.
Scoot Dalano Tisse Toumani Clingan are probably our rotation guys.
Timelord Rupert Bari Duop Murray are the deep bench.
Clingan over Timelord because of injury concerns and development, although Timelord is obviously better. Bari instead of Tou depending on opponent. Rupert instead of Dalano as well.
Timelord could play the 4 with Duop at the 5 if we dig this deep, putting Murray at the 3. Or Timelord at the 5 with Bari at the 4 and Rupert at the 3. But if we are playing garbage time we would be better off risking Duop vs risking Rob. And Clingan can run garbage time imo just for the exp.
We can rock Timelord at the 4 or 5 whenever it’s convenient. Duop doesn’t have to play every game to be valuable here.
Ideally, we can extend Timelord here on a team friendly deal and he can be a sorta player coach as long as he’s not too expensive like he is now.

What logjam? Am I missing something?
