Morris isnt needed. He was here as a veteran locker room guy. Dinwiddie can do the same. Not to mention Thompson. So lets see if Lawson can do something, if not his contract is easily tradable at the deadline, if we really need another Veteran for the locker room.

there were two needs in this team, another POA defense and ball handling off the bench, i think the ball handling is a bigger issue and Spencer adresses that, he's also a better talent thank DSJ, i get that DSJ is younger and can still improve but Spencer at his best is a 15 PPG 5 AST off the bench, also Exum, Grimes, Naji can be pretty good POA defenders and they cover most matchups

If Spencer isn't shooting 38%+ from 3 on 4 attempts a game this signing will come back to haunt them because he's not a good defender. At least DSJ can facilitate and play defense
lawson out, keef in. both play garbage time but atp, we already know what lawson is. if you don’t, then you didn’t watch him play. he isn’t gonna get better. he’s josh green but worse. the locker room loves keef and we need a stand-up guy.

Yeah, this is a TOTALLY different team than 2022. When Spencer was last a Mav, he was either the 2nd or 3rd best player on that WCF run. He comes back as probably the 6th or 7th best player.

Spencer realized he needs his momma now. With the roster the Mavs now have I can see 60 plus wins and an NBA finals win next season. I can't wait for next season to start and see what this team is going to do. I'll be surprised if they don't start it off by steamrolling other teams.

This signing is elite. This whole offseason has been elite. Everyone on the roster has very clearly defined roles . Dinwiddie knows the Mavericks system, his best seasons were with the Mavericks, and we needed another backup ball handler that can shoot and distribute. This team is absolutely stacked right now. Go Mavs! Oh, and we did not give up any firsts to do any of this.
