I feel like a lot of fans really misunderstood what he meant when he chose the Lakers. He certainly made a mistake picking LA over Dallas since we’re much better a fit, but he wasn’t wrong in saying LA would have been more of a challenge and ultimately give him a chance to get his stock up for this off-season. A mistake in hindsight, but it’s not some egregiously offensive assertion that he had a chance for a bigger role there.

It didn’t work out in LA (or anywhere in his entire career except Dallas tbh) because he was asked to be a table setter, as opposed to a C&S/off-the-bounce creator. He thrives as a secondary guard, and I would love to see him play with Luka (once again) and Kyrie. Throwing Klay into the mix gives many lineups where Dinwiddie would have tons of gravity to play with. He is a tall, athletic guard with great playmaking skills, decent perimeter defense and good slashing abilities. Hoping to hear that we pick him up!

Interesting timing considering he has no job and Mavs have roster spot open. He had the opportunity to come here last year.

Some times it amazes me how every team’s fanbase is so overly emotional.

Then I remember that a very significant portion of reddit posters are actual children.

Don’t care about dude. DSJ is better. Leave Spence in LA with his daddy.

People forgot how big Spence was in game 7 against Phoenix a few years ago. He had 30+ points off the bench.

  6. Whatever Dallas does, Luka needs to be healthy when the playoffs roll around. Sit him for 10 games if need be. Take that decision out of his hands as well. We are good enough to not need him ALL season to reach the playoffs now.

  7. People are caring way too much about the Spencer lakers vs Dallas comments lol. Let’s all remember Deandre Jordan literally nuked our offseason and probably part of dirks twilight years and we still signed him lol
