The Los Angeles Lakers. Once a storied franchise is now currently in one of the worst ruts in their history. In the 2010s things were already on the decline but in the mid 2010s, things were as rough as it could be even obtaining their worst franchise record of 17-65 in 2016. But finally, with the young Lakers stacking up on lottery picks in players like Lonzo Ball, Julius Randle, De’Aneglo Russell, Kyle Kuzma, and Brandon Ingram. The Lakers simply were just hoping for a miracle to happen in the progression of those players. But a different miracle would come with the Free Agency Signing of a 34 year old Lebron James. But, over his now soon to be 7 seasons with the Lakers, his time with the purple and gold brigade has come with alot of controversy and headlines They got the Larry O’Brien trophy in year 2. But after that, most people can agree that this has been the most polarizing time in Lakers history.     Really.. Laker fans should blame AD for not doing what Kobe could. This was supposed to be AD’s team 3 seasons ago! AD’a transition as the leader of the team is sidelined by injuries🤷🏾‍♂️ and Lebron’s just a unicorn!

    My cousin still talks about that 2017-18 Lakers squad. I used to whip everyone on 2K with them while using Kobe as a decoy 😂. Now everyone knows the players but back then, they were nobodies

    Say what you want about the Lebron era in LA and as nasty as it has been they did win a championship regardless of the circumstance. I’d ask Lakers fans would you rather have the ring or see what the young core of Zo, Ingram, Kuzma and others along with Bron and see how that goes. Unless you think that core develops into a championship level team I think reasonably you take the ring with the AD trade

    It's crazy how people like this video can say the most controversial era in Lakers history when before LeBron they went the longest stretch in franchise history without making the playoffs. You would think for a franchise that supposed to be a gold standard that would be controversial but no people want to find ways to shade LeBron even though they won a championship and have been to the playoffs, and that's not even taking into consideration this is in the literal Twilight of his career when 99.9% of other humans would not even be in the nba. But okay yeah its controversial that a nearly 40 year old is it winning championships, got it.

    Thinking a midseason trophy and a bubble ring in an empty building is "good enough" shows a profound lack of ambition and the kindof commitment to excellence that the Lakers enjoyed under Dr Buss and Jerry West and KB24 set the tone on the court. Lebron will never be an all time great Laker he only cares about what the organisation can do for his legacy in the final years of his career smfh SAD, thats not the mamba mentality Lakers I remember!

    Since Dr buss died Jeannie has done a horrible job but being a woman the media gives her a pass from drafting Lonzo ball over Jayson Tatum to allowing Rob palinka to back stab magic until he quit then gave him the job to not hiring tylue and not getting kyrie this front office is a joke while Lebron gets all of the blame but he is a fool for staying there 😎💯🤬
