Thoughts on sign and trade with Orlando to bring back markelle fultz and 2nd round pick or two + filler? He’s exactly the type of player we should be looking at in terms of potential & timeline of rebuild – if we don’t trade Cam Johnson by the time the season starts, maybe he has inflated stats to start the season and we might be able to get more for him

Cam is gonna get us a great haul at the deadline when his value is at its highest. We can and should wait until then as contenders will only get more desperate for a player with his skillset.

What’s the hold up, it’s evident the front office just want a First Round Pick. Is Lauri Markkanen/Brandon Ingram holding up other wings (Cam/DFS/Kuzma) from being traded?

Sacramento is probably the best trade partner.
Huerter + Lyles + SAC’s 2027 1st for Cam Johnson matches up in salary.
If SAC wants to push it over the finish line, they can add POR’s 2025 2nd they own.

Idk who the best trade partner is, but CJ to the Spurs seems like it makes a lot of sense for the Spurs. CP3 and Wemby with a top level 3+D wing like CJ might be a good enough core to make the playoffs.
If we’re gonna suck this year, then I at least want to watch someone play nice basketball.
